Well you only met them once or twice and barely interacted, so it’s alot less likely that anyone would remember their names, the heads attitude is another story.
It’s the bottom of the ninth, and I’m losing hope in ever seeing Helen, Dave, Bruce, Phil, the Dane, the Dork Knight, Bubbles, Konstantin, Imogene, the Italian Centipedes, or Dr. Walske again… Oh, and the Human Mynah… And Unity with a lightsaber, preferably the smug Dane’s…
There were some centipedes around, or at least I thought they were centipedes.
They were munching on certain…things…in Cryogenics. But I can’t remember if they’re sentient or not.
Langi was named in their first appearance, Una, as far as I can see, wasn’t.
(I feel like this should be a reference, but I don’t know what to. A “langi” is apparently a Tongan burial structure, which makes sense as a zombie name, but might just be a coincidence,)
I always thought of them as the “head-toters.” The whole storyline was just before I started reading “Skin-Horse,” and, not spending a whole day looking at a particular strip, some details escaped my grasp.
Looking back at the strips, I’m forced to wonder how Tip got their names. On their first appearance, he was imprisoned by the crystal entities in the basement, and on the second, he was on the phone trying to find out visitation hours at the Institute. (Nothing like disputing fine theological points to put me in a good mood…)
No matter how much is allowed, it’s goodbye to a lot of their crowd. Take these LGB women that Nick’s eponym in the strip was “head-toters” and spoken aloud.

Oh wow, nice cameo appearance!

But as soon as you think it impossible that you will see Dr Walske again…
Did we ever get any of the names of the silverfish who spoke to Our Heroes?
Sure did!
Oh! And I’ve been calling him “Main Silverfish, the One Who Speaks to Them.”
Maybe he can fit that on his business card.
Daggone it, I meant “Silverfish”, not “Centipede”! My apologies to all, especially Shaenon, whose packaging-portrait of one adorns my computer…

The centipedes were munching on the silverfish down in the sub-basements.

Konstantin is working cybersecurity over at the Margada building, I think. According to one of the bonus stories anyway.
I don’t recall getting their names. Maybe it was somewhere in the commentary…

There was supposed to be a link in that:

Thanks for sharing that link, Daibhid C! That was a very good strip!

Oh, duh, just under a year later it occurs to me that the head-swapping princess in Ozma of Oz is named Langwidere.
How do they fit L, G, B and T all in just two people? I guess being a headless/head zombie couple helps, but even so…
Both genderfluid, I guess?

That’s my headcanon too.
Luvs me some comments, and thanks one and all.
