I was thinking what a special kind of hell that would be. Sure, living multiple lives would be great, but having to relive until you ran out of possibilities? There’s no possible happy ending there.
And there’s the other bit of fridge horror: that while, whether it’s universe-skipping or temporal resets, everyone else goes through it once…HE remembers DYING EVERY TIME.
Y’know what’d be really funny?
If he gets out of the facility, gets back to his home, lives the rest of his life, dies of old age in his bed…
… then respawns back at the age of 16 in the shoe polish training room.
Heh! I was thinking that a few strips back!

Sure there is, and he’s going to keep going until he finds it.
That might be the darkest possible outcome of them all.
The worst part of that is that he probably wouldn’t remember how to get out anymore.
And there’s the other bit of fridge horror: that while, whether it’s universe-skipping or temporal resets, everyone else goes through it once…HE remembers DYING EVERY TIME.
He seems oddly at ease with it.
Wait till he is no longer protected by infinite respawns.
Dropped in acid? Someone missed a chance to make a “plop-plop, fizz-fizz, oh what a relief it is” joke there.
Any word on whether it was Very Bad Acid?
