Oh, no… he really does mean “later”. It’s the Mad Science version of “Groundhog Day”. Even though for everyone else, he’s jumping back to the same point in time, so they don’t even realize anything has happened, he himself is experiencing it all – and remembering it – in real time. He’s already died four times, so by now he’s confident that he’ll come back from this one. Regardless of when it will happen on Nick’s timeline, as far as Jonah is concerned, it will certainly be “later”.
You’re both right. Extirpation technically means to remove or destroy completely, and Anasigma’s various murder methods are pretty thorough, so I think they count. In the other hand, A-sig tends to use the term to refer to some specific process which apparently involves walnuts as well as other vague hints. How terrible it is depends on who you ask, but it’s usually pretty bad.
I take it as more of a location thing. The cyanide case was inside the theater. Here’ he’s merely *near* the theater, in what looks like a hallway. I’m guessing that spike walls are generally preferred to cyanide gas because they’re quicker (especially when you include clean-up time), but you can’t really do spike walls in the theater because of all the seats.
I think you mean “talk to you sooner”…

Cyanide gas injectors and spike walls? That’s one hell of a theater…
Wel,l different situations call for different methods of extirpation
That’s more of an employees only thing.

Also the gas would be more likely to get out of control in a corridor than a room.
Ow. I’d be a little less blaise about spike walls.
I love how cheerful he is about it.
He deserved it. He was talking on his cell phone in a theater.
The fiend!
Well at least he’s honest.
