I suspect Dr. Lee -is- a mad genius, but her ‘crack’ is very low-key. You can’t be among mad people or their works very long without a gear slipping. I suspect all she’s going to require is the laughter of fools.
Honestly, I rather like her as a sane scientist who just happens to get a bit too much into her work. Shows that being awesome isn’t reserved just for people who were born with the Spark.
I mean, if we’re going to draw a comparison to Girl Genius, I’d say she’s a relatively sane Spark. After all, two of the sanest Sparks in Girl Genius (Klaus and Tarvek) specialize in reverse-engineering the work of other Sparks.
“Turning mad science sane”…does that mean her work is reproducible by other (sane) scientists? Because, if no one else can build this stuff (after she’s cracked whatever mad code made it), how can we know that it actually IS sane?
Glad to see Dr. Lee has a very loose definition of “success”.

I wouldn’t call Klaus one of the sanest Sparks. His specialty is reverse engineering other Sparks themselves.

An excellent use of logic. And the fact that you thought to ask tells me you probably have a good idea of the likely answer.
I think she’s saying she’s the only person who can recreate the original Mad Science creation, not that her work can’t be replicated.
which may actually be scarier, because it implies that it could be mass produced.
She makes the unreproducible reproducible.
From my heart and from my hand,
Why don’t people understand
My intentions, ooh, weird
Weird science!
(Weird science)
Magic and technology
Voodoo dolls and chants
Electricity
We’re makin’
Weird science
So she’s a bit like Dragon from Worm, then.
