Well, if looked at it logically, the stamp does do magic. Before the stamp, it’s just paper with words on it, but after the application of some ink, with a rubber tool with letters and pictures on it, it suddenly is “OFFICIAL”. If that isn’t magic, then what is?
You may have something there. And a Notary’s stamp isn’t rubber. It’s metal, and it actually embosses the paper. So it doesn’t simply apply ink – it physically alters the document. Anyone can throw ink at paper, but only a Notary can apply their seal.
I witnessed someone having something notarized just a few weeks ago. It’s a two-part process. The official seal embosses the document, and the rubber stamp is for the signature.
Well that’s nice. Is the special couch for scientists in a comfortable, tastefully decorated room with tranquil music and a bar?
