It was acetone and nylon. I realize neither of them is particularly skilled in forensics, but a basic understanding of chemistry would tell you that was a smoke bomb and no more unless it was in a heavy, sealed container.
It did appear to be in a sealed container, but I suspect that the ratio of acetone was much too high, and probably missing a critical component or two to make it even flammable, let alone explosive.
Well obviously the bomb wasn’t meant to actually explode. I knew it was a paranoia gambit back when you did the Bambi reference.

This is exactly why you shouldn’t trust social workers to handle the investigation of a bomb threat.
Granted Tip has military training and should know better but still.
To be fair, given what we’ve seen of the culprit so far it’s reasonable to assume that any errors were caused by stupidity and not intentional.
