Has Unity ever told a lie, or suspected someone else of telling one? I don’t think this character trait is a random “she’s funny when she believes obvious lies”, but instead possibly a trait of “She doesn’t understand the concept of a lie.”

An important part of the ” Sweetheart’s rampage” arch was her advising to play amnesiac when caught, and then showing her acting skills on that domain, so I’m pretty sure she knows what a lie is.

Good point. Context might be a factor on how she sees such matters. Perhaps she sees a lie as something one does to faceless authority, but not in a personal interaction. Or only as a response to open hostility.

I know a few people who have a hard time grasping that someone who acts friendly might be lying to them, so it’s not much of a stretch.
