…. is that a real movie? If it isn’t, I honestly don’t know whether I’ll be relieved or disappointed

It not only exists but is by David Cronenberg?! And Unity learned a skill from it?!

No rampage has made Unity seem as threatening as this strip.

The “gynecological implements for mutant women” made my eyes water, and I’m cis-male.

This isn’t my normal outlet for Dead Ringer jokes, but it sure is the classiest!

(TUNE: “Hooray For Hollywood”, Richard Whiting & Johnny Mercer)

    I learned from Hollywood!
I watched the movies and they taught me good!
In twenty minutes, with the proper urgin’,
    A plastic surgeon
    Can alter anyone’s face!
    A master chef’s a rat, man;
    And @#$%ing Batman
Can punch Godzilla and breathe in space!

    I learned from Hollywood
To fight The Man and to protect the ‘hood!
I met barbarians around their campfires,
    And modern vampires
    Are merely misunderstood!
I learned to shoe a horse
And to use The Force …
    I learned from Hol-ly-wood!

Most of the Hollywood conception of Voodoo comes from those dastardly practitioners of the dark arts, the French. They spread false rumors about what Vodoun was to shame their slaves in Saint-Domingue (modern Haiti) into adopting Catholicism in full instead of blending it with their existing belief system.
