Carried over from Narbonic, where it was the sound effect for the abrupt sex change transformation.
It’s funny, sometimes that’s reason enough.
Last time Tip transformed, it was “Sklorph”.
Maybe it’s a directional sound effect. This time Tip went canid to hominid, the one from your link was hominid to canid.
