Okay, the archive is back up! I still have a lot of work to do to restore everything on the site, but the strips will resume updating as usual. Thanks to everyone for your patience.

Where the heck’s St. Charlie, Mass?
Am I blind? Cannot find it at all!
It’s not on GPS … gotta guess
Where the heck we’re going,
Must be really, really small!
We don’t know St. Charlie, Mass.,
Looks at Sweetheart, who sits there and smiles!
By the tilt of her nose,
Her demeanor simply shows
She’s been reading … the files!
Though we’re now a mite dispirited
And feeling some disgrace,
With a mission anew
We will show what we can do!
(If we can just find the stupid place!)
Yes, service is our only joy!
We’ll use our expertise!
We try to help, and not annoy,
And we’re ready to begin
If you would only tell us please
Just where the heck’s St. Charlie, Mass?
Never mind, we will find it somehow!
We’ll announce, “We’ve been sent
From the U.S. Government,
Here to help you, if you will allow!”
Get ready, St. Charlie, Mass….
We’re coming now!
I think based on shaenon’s post up top, all old comments were probably lost with the previous archive. We’re now seeing all comments from the beginning.
If people are super curious, the old archive with the comments is still up on WebComicsNation. But yeah, we weren’t able to port the old comments over to the new site.

Thanks Shaenon!
Shame about the comments. Internet web archive doesn’t seem to fully agree with the site, either, which is annoying.

(As soon as Unity’s had her walkies)
I’m guessing that it was literally “the city of St. Charlie” that requested them, as in an actual intelligent city.
And there was much rejoicing (Yay!)
I don’t know where it is either, but I hope it’s near Somerville!
I second that. Plug time: my nephew, Tim Finn, now owns Hub Comics in Somerville.
Squeeeeee! Is St. Charlie in Western Massachusetts? If I see Sweetheart, can I pet her?
I’m sure, as long as you don’t BEEP! then shout “DOGGIEEE!” and try to hug her…

Thank you for your support.
There are other ways to react to a sentient dog (especially an anthropomorphic one)?
Ahh… so I’m not the only one then. Good to know.

Now I’m much less embarrassed about the “Furzz” incident… maybe I can go back to DragonCon again.
just get it out of your system
Gavotte has placed an extra ‘s’ in Massachusetts (or is that intentional to avoid being sued by the state?).
I’m guessing St. Charlie would be somewhere along the Charles River…
Massachussets: America’s secret 15-and-a-halfth state.
Well, if any strangeness happens near me in upcoming weeks, at least I’ll know why.
Why suddenly so many comments? o_0;

Alas, WebComicsNation seems to be totally, not mostly or un-, dead now.
Inb4 the number of comments is now about 10 times what it used to be.
