If it’s parody, it’s parody that closely approaches the reality of the thing. At least in the set of people I know, I find that the smarter they are, the more they become absolute goofballs in any social situation…
Since Dr. Lee has already figured out how to transplant a human brain into an inanimate object, clearly her next project could be to scoop out Artie’s brain and put him into something living. Maybe a giant gerbil…
Ah Tip, don’t say that. You’ve got plenty of brains! For example, you just inadvertently created a zombie proof hairstyle. No zombies are gonna be chewing on you’re brains with a dozen hair curlers in the way.
Also, did Tip just use Jafar’s “His power does exceed my own” line?
This rocks so hard. I love the counterpoint of point of view.
Oh no! Dr. Lee’s gonna scoop out Artie’s brain!
And play with it!!
Unity’s wisdom is clearly beyond our own.
I don’t actually know what Unity is talking about here…
Dr. Lee ‘scooped and played with’ Nick’s brain. Does that help?
Should I be scared that Unity’s lines through the first three panels of this strip were almost word-for-word echoing my thoughts as I read it?
I don’t know, but we should be.
Not really. But I am glad to hear there’s more than one of us.
I take the third panel as a reference to her use of Nick’s brain.
But how does brain-eating/experimenting relate to mojo?
Think in terms of planarian flatworms. ^_^

And keep in mind that this is *sane* science! ^_~
I’m not sure McConnell’s sense of humor would classify him as completely sane. 🙂
They don’t — Unity’s expanding on her previous comment.
I like how they haven’t yet realized they already failed their mission.
I still can’t figure out to what extent Artie and Virginia’s chatter was meant as actual adult genius conversation as opposed to a parody of it.
OK, that’s not really true. Of course it’s a parody. And now I want to give them swirlies.
If it’s parody, it’s parody that closely approaches the reality of the thing. At least in the set of people I know, I find that the smarter they are, the more they become absolute goofballs in any social situation…
There’s a fair amount of counterpoint dialogue in Skin Horse, but I think this is the first time someone’s actually been called on it.
Since Dr. Lee has already figured out how to transplant a human brain into an inanimate object, clearly her next project could be to scoop out Artie’s brain and put him into something living. Maybe a giant gerbil…
*I* love brains in a scoop-and-play-with-them way, too!

That’s what I was wondering!
Anyone struck by the fact that between Artie and Dr Lee, it’s Artie that Tip considers his rival?
Probably because he’s gotten along better with Dr. Lee in the past. He knows they both outmatch him in brains, but Ginny is a friend.
So… are the ears permanent now or something?
It’s okay Tip, Artie is a product of raw mad science, you got that way all on your own!
…though of course Artie’s impressive education is a product of his own efforts, so maybe feel bad a little.
