Y’know, every time I see Sergio, I hope that this is the time that the situation deteriorates to the point that he decides that calling Mell in to help couldn’t possibly make it worse.
That would be cool, but I don’t think Skin Horse is set long enough after Narbonic for them to have a daughter that old. Of course, the time machine is a wild card.
It’s relatively easy, at least with basic mad science, to make a triangle with only right angles, though. Just make one out of wires and set up a few portals for the wires to go through.
Personally I prefer the “triangles on the surface of a sphere” trick. Why warp space in a portal, when you could warp the entire room?
Unfortunately, for those of us viewing from unmodified 3D space, both of these look like bending the wires – you’ve got to stick your head next to a vertex to see they’re straight.
Down in the research office where the cubicles grow,
There was a good-hearted dude name of Sergio.
He was once recruited by someone in a drone.
Now the guys in Anasigma just won’t leave him alone.
They just went GREEEEEEE!
He’s a man done gone.
He’s been planning his escape for a million years,
Looking into other happentracks for one that was clear.
But he had to be careful, not to give it away,
Or they could make it unpleasant for him today.
They could go GREEEEEEE!
He’ll be a man done gone.
And then one day, he was glad to see,
Into the office came Virginia Lee.
Another evil genius that we all know.
She agreed to help poor old Sergio.
So she got a little help from a guy called Nick
Who was a cyber helicopter and a filthy-minded prick.
Nick flew out of Anasigma, taking Sergio above,
And took him to the Tower of Positronic Love.
Where he said GREEEEEEE!
Another man done gone.
He had a brief cameo as the genius who wanted to check his email in the climactic arc of Narbonic, IIRC, but mostly he’s from Li’l Mell (see link in sidebar), where he co-starred as Mell’s best friend in first grade.
Nick forgot to mention that the maintenance crews haven’t been at the structure since Skin Horse left the first time, so along with booby traps and all the rest, the Love Tower might be crumbling around them. I’m surprised that Nick could land safely on the roof.
Unless Tigerlily has been amusing herself by “upgrading” the building while hiding out. In which case Sergio has even more (and weirder) to worry about.
Y’know, every time I see Sergio, I hope that this is the time that the situation deteriorates to the point that he decides that calling Mell in to help couldn’t possibly make it worse.
(He’d be wrong, of course.)
For the record, I still think that Nera is Mell’s and Caliban’s Daughter.
That would be cool, but I don’t think Skin Horse is set long enough after Narbonic for them to have a daughter that old. Of course, the time machine is a wild card.
Maybe, but I feel like they wouldn’t purposefully hide her face unless we would recognize her. And she certainly /acts/ like Mel.
Well, or Dr. Narbon, but that’s an even scarier option.
Why not? Mr. Green’s face was hidden up until recently, and we had never met him before.
A. Nera exhibits no similarities to either Mell or Caliban, so I don’t see it as a possibility.
B. We know that Nera’s last name is Vivaldi.
Time machine AND half demon kid.
This is Annex One. Let’s just assume “all of them.”
Aww, see Sergio? He likes you!
Rubber fire – does he mean burning rubber, or some physics-defying fire _composed_ of rubber?
Nick is referring to the fire in the rubber tire room during the No Good Very Bad Day storyline.
Ah, I recall that now. Pity, I was hoping for a “department of impossible physics” with rubber fire, square triangles, and pourable rocks.
Second season of Red Dwarf: “Rubber nuclear weapons had to be deployed to disperse the crowd.”
BMunro:
That last is called “lava.”
You also probably think portable holes are what you get with a piece of Swiss cheese, mundane.

Probably both. It’s been that kind of day.
Someone should have warned him about the Positronic Love Tower. Also, Nick should try to set Sergio up with Artie for the amusement value.
Wouldn’t Sergio recognize Artie (in his human form at least) from when he was his primary-school teacher? That could cause some weird associations.
Probably much weirder for Artie.
*All* their insane fugitives? Who *else* are they storing there besides Ms. Jones?
Tigerlilly is the only one who’s a fugitive.
Well, there is also Hitty.
I doubt she’s a fugitive, I’m sure Mr. Green meant for her to end up exactly where she is.
From “Marie Laveau,” Bobby Bare.

We’ve seen where he worked. Annex One might be weirder by a slight margin, but nowhere near as dangerous.
I don’t think they even HAVE shoe care regulations, let alone movies about them.
Um, I’m confused. I read Narbonic, but I don’t remember Sergio in it. How does he relate to Narbonic again?
He had a brief cameo as the genius who wanted to check his email in the climactic arc of Narbonic, IIRC, but mostly he’s from Li’l Mell (see link in sidebar), where he co-starred as Mell’s best friend in first grade.

“I’m also more ‘sensible and down-to-earth’ than ‘sassy’, hopefully that doesn’t affect anything.”
“Sooo….snack then?”
