It’s a privately owned vessel, and one that they have paid for the use of, so at the most, they are guilty of piracy.
I’m a little fuzzy on maritime law, but I’m pretty sure that there has to be something a bit more substantial than Panoptica’s panties in a bunch for her to legally be able to commandeer a private vessel… or any vessel, for that matter.
Good question. Presumably Tip, Nora and the crew were dealt with in this way as well. I wonder how Bubbles felt about the mutiny of her passengers? o_O
Captain Waters probably has protocols with her control units that not even these government agents can hack: There are perks to having personal relationships with your computers. 🙂
I’m betting that Shelby will use his minor telekinesis to manipulate the lock so that the brig is unlocked without anyone knowing. Have to keep secrets from the telepath. Also, where’s Tip and the other girl?
Semantics, since she’s all but acknowledging that she is committing piracy, but: You’re an American agency. You can’t exercise eminent domain over a Canadian ship in international waters.
To Shelby: Meaning that you’d be OK with the eyepatch, the parrot and the pointless feuding with the ninjas? o_O
Pointless because the Good Doctor always wins.
Well, that’s my question from last night answered…
Drawing a line… with one of your telekinetically manipulated pencils?
Isn’t Shelby already line-drawn?
No protagonists on screen. Shelby’s genuinely on our side, or playing a much deeper game.
Either that, or these two are much bigger villains than we thought. Remember Mr. Green’s sounding board?
As it’s the HMS Habakkuk (or HMCS Habakkuk), and they’re (apparently) a US Government agency, it’s also an act of war.

An aircraft carrier in private hands?
I didn’t write the story. I just read it.

A privately owned, heavily armed aircraft carrier. Where better to land a privately owned warplane?
Nice to see someone on the AGI team has a little sanity.
Telling that it’s the member who’s been detached for so long, isn’t it?
*Unskippable video begins*
YOU WOULDN’T STEAL AN AIRCRAFT CARRIER…
😀
I’d love to see it: “Over 10,000 jobs were created for this aircraft carrier.”
I’d download one. Two if they weren’t too big.
“Everyone”? How can Sweetheart and Unity constitute “everyone”?
Good question. Presumably Tip, Nora and the crew were dealt with in this way as well. I wonder how Bubbles felt about the mutiny of her passengers? o_O
I didn’t say we weren’t fun, but fun or not pirates are still the baddies.
Yeah we killed that sea beast but trust us it was horrid.
I have to wonder what the captain has to say about this…
Not Joy!

They should just use civil forfeiture and keedalbenp the theft nice and legal.

Nera’s “Mantling into cable ducts like it’s a survival RPG.” I have no idea what that means, either.
She’s hiding in the obligatory Vents That Have No Reason To Be This Big Except So People Can Hide in Them.
You have any idea how much air they have to move to keep a ship that size ventilated? Those ducts definitely have a reason to be that big.
Mantling is a rock climbing move where you lift your body up onto a ledge with your arms.
Technically, I think it counts as ‘angary’. When a government does something, they call it something else.
The governament doesn’t like being correcated. It makes them angary.
I kind of expect it to be Bubbles who finally saves the day. But we’ll see what Shelby can manage.
Joy!
I don’t expect much from Shelby at this point. He’s basically just caved to being a pirate, as long as he doesn’t have to have a peg leg.
Bubbles, Alfie, and Sweetdaddy. The brig we’ve seen wouldn’t hold Alfie, anyway.
STILL waiting for Virginia.
HEY! PIRACY IS NOT STE… erm… huh, this actually IS piracy and stealing…! Never mind, carry on…
