Eh, it’s true! All they have to do is feed her 10 or 12_brains from the St. Charlie Brain-o-Matic and she’d be good to go. Just remember to make sure she has a couple of brain pate sandwiches with her as well! 🙂
Why do they even still have the fire alarm system functioning?
I mean, I’m all for fire safety – it’s part of my job, in fact. But after the first few false alarms, I’d think they’d disconnect it, considering the building isn’t really combustible anyway. Sure, if the reactors melt down, the concrete blocks will melt with them, but a fire isn’t going to do anything.
Even a concrete building has stuff that will burn. Furniture, doors, paint, insullation, wiring, paper, doodads and gewgaws, and people, all flammable. Iron and steel will burn if you have some aluminum or titanium for kindling.
The rework of Annex One into a giant robot would have to include some serious self-repair functions or the whole thing would quite literally grind to a halt in no time. Disabling _anything_ in the original design may be a major undertaking.
It’s a walking building. How do they even have a functioning water-based fire system without a connection to utilities? Only guess is some water storage tanks on the upper floors that get topped off regularly.
I’m sure new, self-actualised Sweetheart’s decision that Unity shouldn’t go on this mission has absolutlely nothing to do with her calling Tigerlily hot.
Good call, awgiedawgie!
I have my moments. Not many of them, but I have them.
So Nick and Tip will be flying off to rescue Princess Aimee and Baron Mistycorn? Or to forge a new alliance with Tigerlilly?
Multitask. Bargain for the server, and try to keep diplomatic lines open with Tigerlily’s enclave so they have a chance to call for aid later.

Not gonna happen. Brainy Unity is scary AF.

Oh, wait, it’s all Sweetheart’s doing, isn’t it?

Unity (mostly) did start a tire fire down in one of the basements once.
Sweetheart carries a heavy load of guilt over leaving a fire door open (VR or not!).
That’s what made me think it was her idea to keep the alarms operating.
Based on Unity’s last line, most of them haven’t been false alarms.

All you’d have to do is disconnect the power wire in the alarm control panel, and tell the building to not fix it.
Yeah, then the check system’s light comes on and blinkety-blinks annoyingly until the power wire is reconnected.
If you disconnect the right power wire, there’s no power to the check system light.

Bet Unity doesn’t love “hot crazy lady” as much as Tip does.

Aw, but that’s a whole superball.
Good recall
Only a quarter??
She’s canadian
It came upon a midnight fear,
The glorious cast of old.
The agents coming to the earth
To take the job so bold.
Farewell to Earth, Lovetron to them,
With Funktown’s bodacious queen.
The Baron’s awful witless play
Gives fear for Aimee’s scene.
The fire alarm is auditory as well as smoke and temperature triggered. Unity said “hot”. That was enough to set it off.
…and here I thought it was because she said she could do subtle and her pants caught on fire.
So her leaning back and whacking her head against the alarm pull handle in the second panel had nothing to do with it?
…for some reason that whack didn’t klik.
