When the mascot rules the corporation. Couldn’t be any worse than some CEO’s that are in currently in charge.

Are you referring to our current president? (If you can even call him that.)

Sadly, it describes just about any given CEO these days.
Merit and Power in the corporate world, both public and private, are virtually strangers these days.

Isn’t that essentially what’s going on with Whimsy, too?

Didn’t look like any of them got stock in the company. Probably the Whimsey family held the voting stock close.

Either that or the Corporation has bought up all its stock and now owns itself.
A rather convenient arrangement for an AI collective when you think about it. All they would lack then are a mundane’s community voting rights.

She’s not Mickey Mouse. She is Whimsy. She’s the fictional person of the corporation corporealized.

Also Doc Collodi considered the corporation his daughter.

He’s the controlling shareholder. That doesn’t mean he’s an executive officer of any kind, just that he has the right to control who is.

I went back to see where the turtles and opossum were mentioned being created, I saw it twice, was there more? Also since it’s pronounced “possum” shouldn’t it be a instead of an?

They look more like the Asian/South Pacific marsupials named possums by the British, so I don’t think the “an” would be required. But English is a screwed up language, and I avoided rhetoric as much as possible in school, so?

Opossum refers to a specific species where as possum refers to Any tree dwelling marsupial. With how weird the opossums were I would not put it pass them to emphasize the o when talking about what they are.

There are lots of species of marsupial in the New World, and they’re all either opossums, shrew opossums or colocolo opossums. I don’t know what Tony and Mercutio are (or were). They’re pretty huge, so my guess would be “something a mad scientist dreamt up”, rather than any natural speces.

And Renard’s not doing too badly as a businessman. He’s only been to prison once.

He’s going to have to do more time to up his game, then.

Fun fact, the word opossum came first, from the Algonquin word for them. When British explorers discovered another kind of small arboreal marsupial with a prehensile tale in Australia they named them after the opossum but dropped the “O”.

I have never heard “opossum” pronounced without the leading “o”. An an in front of opossum makes more sense than putting one in front of “Historical”.

I won’t call him that. And watch your hazz….why? In my county THEY arranged
for a ‘driver’ to hit me from behind with a car. I was too much martial artist for
any cowards who follow a draft-dodging Putin-sucker….. to attack me any other way.

Are we going to talk politics *here* too? ‘Cause I’ve got a lot of things I could say about your opinion.

You know “I got into a car accident – it’s Trump’s fault!” is supposed to be a meme, right?

Did Tony say he’d be coming for them? The plan was they would all go to Lovetron…

I hate to be critical, since this is a great one providing great background for one of the side characters, but you might want to tweak the kerning in the last panel. I spent a few too many seconds wondering what “mixdogy” was

Would Reynard be considered a successful or unsuccessful experiment then?

Well, he’s not warming their milk. How successful can he be, in their eyes?

Given how many there are, he may well have warmed it in the containers before pouring.

A successful Mad science creation turns on its creator (no matter how much Tigerlily might complain about hers doing it). So I’d say Renard is successful. They might not feel that way about him, but that’s their problem.

Even with reality blindness, Renard should really hire someone to take care of these turtles.

Then again, might be hard to find someone who can listen to their demands.

Okay, I know “mixology” is “making cocktails”, so is a mixology retreat what normal people call “going to the pub”?
