1. I could have sworn that he had treads not wheels.
2. Omg! That pretty close to how I originally imagined him with arms and legs! I also imagined him gold too.
I have the impression treadwheels were invented for tanks around WW1 and Mustachio predates that era. I love that an artist could a) research the invention of the treadwheel on Wikipedia quickly and efficiently (a mere few hours) or b) cut the drawing off at the right angle.
There was a flashback that showed Moustachio with treads in a Hitty-colored body, long before the events of Skin Horse. Strips before that one mentioned Moustachio having legs, so I assume it was just an error.
I concur with that assessment. I’ve been wondering who the Glass Kitten is for a while though now… Baron Mistycorn is my best guess, but doesn’t fit super well.
Nah, both appear to be later modifications. In the flashback at the start of the space-bat-angel-dragon chapter, he definitely has big crab claw arms and treads
My exact question.
I was really hoping for an expanded universe strip: The Splendid Adventures of Moustachio and Hitty. Sort of a steamy Nick and Nora Charles for the 2025s.
Pretty sure it’s his original body, which has those vent openings in the front, as opposed to Hitty’s face. Also, neither Moustachio nor Hitty would suffer Hitty to be parted from her +10 Arm of Hitting All the Things.
Things are hectic, but Nigel is done. For a long time, with legs, M had none. Now he can quadrille and give Hitty a thrill. Half a dozen, maybe six of one.
I wonder who the very first mechanical non-human is/was. It would be interesting if someone accidentally wakes up Stonehenge during all this commotion.
… Mustachio giving dance lessons?
“We’ll properly start with cotillon. Advanced learners shall earn the opportunity to proceed to the Viennese next trimester!”
How many want to bet that someone will over-wind him in the near future. [evil laugh]
Tigerlily took care of that for good, tho.
Took me a bit to find it. Here.
C U R S E S!!!
Thanks for this – I must have skipped over this strip. 😐
I think I’m slightly terrified now.

I’m confused by your point #1. He’s got arms and legs. What do wheels have to do with it?
In a flashback(?), when Moustachio was rampaging at the Crystal Palace, it did very much look like he was on treads.

Hitty has treads. And Mustachio’s head has been on top of her for some time. http://skin-horse.com/comic/for-er/

He had legs for day to day use, they were swapped out for treads for his rampage.
Ah, the Tin Man has his parts back. 🙂
I’m pretty sure that Zerhakker is the analogue of the Tin Man.
Mustachio is most like Tik-Tok.
(No, not the social media site, you young whippersnappers who need to get off my lawn.)
not before it’s properly mown and we got nickel for it.
I concur with that assessment. I’ve been wondering who the Glass Kitten is for a while though now… Baron Mistycorn is my best guess, but doesn’t fit super well.
His little tiny T-Rex arms seem to have been upgraded…
It appears that he has his original limbs back – both arms and legs.

The treads and crab-mittens are accessories!
That tears it. The world IS ending.
Starting with the shopping malls.
Oh god, Moustachio has legs back? We’re all doomed! DOOOOMED, I SAY!
Beneath the tower of London, there are things too dangerous to ship to the Royal Armouries museum in Leeds, but one room lies empty…
Bloody heck!
And here I was, thinking his legs had been retconned out of existence
Well, it’s nice to see that our long-lost/just-met character was actually useful! Nice going, Nigel!
Not since Spock hijacked the Enterprise to give his former captain Pike a better life has such loyal friendship been displayed.
I’m confused about Mustachio’s body: is it still Hitty, or his original one?
My exact question.

Seconded!

I’ve been waiting for years for this!
I gasped with joy. Moustachio!
As I’ve said, many times, he’s got legs, but does he know how to use them?
He terrorized an entire city with that?!
We’ve seen him demolish a shopping mall with his head!
He also took out a courtroom with just his thumbs….
Don’t you need a lobster to quadrille? Or am I thinking of someplace else?
“Alice” is that *other* franchise!
Oh man, Lewis hasn’t posted an update in YEARS.
Maybe his internet connection is down.
No super-sized, Victorian greenhouse will ever be safe again.

What about something made by Heron of Alexandria?
This is great. But I’m not gonna lie: when I first read the “STOMP STOMP STOMP” in the second panel, I was expecting Foot.
*HAPPY GASP!*
MUSTACHIO HAS HIS LEGS BACK!
I KNOW WHAT MY NEXT DRAWING REQUEST FOR A KICKSTARTER’S GONNA BE!!!!
