What an excellent idea, insulting the planet of the people you’ve come to supposedly save. I wouldn’t be surprised if meeting Pavane turns a lot of these people off the idea of going to Lovetron.
I would say he got away clean, but it’s going to be very difficult to hide now that Nick’s on the job. He’d basically have to hide out in a desert or jungle or something with (gasp!) no technology.
Now she’s here to bring them new hopes,
For this strange abnormal day.
But this Mother and Child reunion
Is only a notion astray.
Oh, teenaged daughter of mine,
I’m so embarrassed to see
You hold up this shape that way.
I know you’re a swarm of bees.
You look like some yellow spray.
And the work of my lifetime starts
Over and over again.
Now she’s here to bring them new hopes (yes),
For this strange abnormal day.
But this Mother and Child reunion
Is only a notion astray.
Oh, older mother of mine
I’d never believe it’s so.
You criticize my ways
I’ve never had such a blow.
In such a maternal cliché
Over and over again.
Oh, oh, she’s here to bring them new hopes (yes),
For this strange abnormal day.
But this Mother and Child reunion
Is only a notion astray.
Oh, oh [repeat chorus]…

Definitely some history there. I wonder if the assembled will start to break out the popcorn if another “discussion” starts while Pavane is in mid-speech?
Yeeaaahhh, I don’t like Pavane. At first glance, I am reminded of one of my older sisters: all high-horseism.
wait for Pavane’s other sisters: Bourrée, Menuet and Saltarelle…
When the first thing she says is a criticism of Pavane’s appearance, I’m not terribly impressed with Gavotte at the moment either.
On the other hand, while it may not take the sting out of Gavotte’s comment, beehive hairdos can bee an acquired taste.
Gavotte should know that you catch more flies with Honey.
What an excellent idea, insulting the planet of the people you’ve come to supposedly save. I wouldn’t be surprised if meeting Pavane turns a lot of these people off the idea of going to Lovetron.
I don’t know, I’m sure some will find her the bees knees!
Besides I find myself curious about a what a “smart, forwards, non-mud planet” could be! (Possibly a giant disco ball?, in space!)
Disco balls, bee hive hairdos….I suddenly don’t think Lovetron is all that advanced.
Platform shoes and leisure suits?
I’m thinking Pavane is going to be so angry and disappointed when so few sign up to go to Lovetron.
I am expecting one last hurrah out of Ira: blowing up the space ship.
That’s very possible, given the tech he acquired from St. Charlie.
Or trying to hijack the spaceship.
I would say he got away clean, but it’s going to be very difficult to hide now that Nick’s on the job. He’d basically have to hide out in a desert or jungle or something with (gasp!) no technology.
He’s probably got a hidden lair in the bottom of a volcano. Like you do.
He’s good at hiding in plain sight. Probably got another security guard gig lined up already.
When they all go downstairs he’ll be manning the guard post, same old befuddled Ira, with no memory of Mr. Green
Almost certainly
I’m wondering if Sweetheart will point to their recent victories as proof that Gavotte’s plan for peaceful coexistence has succeeded after all?
David: Sweetheart could do that, but her nose is very sensitive, and the bees’ stingers are very sharp.
I haven’t seen any sign of peaceful coexistence recently, anyway.

Perfection!
Nice!
I would find out what Pavane’s definition of “save” is before I flew away with her. I’m getting a concerning vibe from her.
“To Save Not-Man”
Definitely some history there. I wonder if the assembled will start to break out the popcorn if another “discussion” starts while Pavane is in mid-speech?
Is it intentional that sweetheart’s voice color is the same as the bees’
An argument fight has come nigh. A mother and daughter decry. So neither’s deferring, but Sweetheart’s preferring, “Oh, what a good dog now am I.”
Didn’t Gavotte split / spawn recently, during the course of this comic? That would imply there’s another child out there that isn’t Pavane.
