This series functionally began with goblin sex and hand puppets. It is pure poetry that it begins to close with goblin sex… and Tip’s puppets being revealed to have been sentient all along.
Seems a few friends and acquaintances were left out. Gavotte? Baron Mistycorn? Leo? Chris and Marcie? (Well, they bugged out already, and the gang probably doesn’t know they’re in terrible trouble.)
Nera is Jonah Yu’s computer-savvy girlfriend. Not a doctor. She got suspended from M. I. T. for something involving the D. O. D., and her never-seen mother has something to do with the shadow government. Together they run a conspiracy-minded blog and have been hanging with the Skin-Horse gang for a while now. (Nera’s Mom: another character we’ve never met.)
Go back two strips, Mustachio is still in line to board in the first panel, when Nick and Dr. Lee start recruiting for the wedding. Presumably they pulled him out of the line in time.
Another potential spinoff strip: “The Suburban Adventures of the Biscuit Family” featuring air taxi pilot Nick, his pharmacist wife Virginia, their adopted teenage daughter Unity and faithful canine companion Sweetheart!
Because all their friends must not tarry, Virginia and Nick now will marry. Nick may now kiss the bride, as Unity presides, before all of this can miscarry.
They’ve still gotta stomp on a light bulb first, then “Mazel tov!”, then on to the reception catered by (who else is left?)… the silverfish. Then the Death Eaters arrive at the same time as A-Sig, and hilarity ensues.
This is worthy.
