I had that problem a year or so ago, and it turned out to be cookie-related. I had to make sure third-party cookies were enabled, and then I deleted any existing cookies for both this site and for wordpress (since I am using my wordpress credentials for commenting). IIRC, that’s all I had to do, and I haven’t had any trouble since then.
Well of course she still has to be here: She’s still running diagnostics.
