Wouldn’t it be interesting if some of them had Tip’s eyes? (That is, “eyes resembling those of their paternal unit’s, i.e., Tip,” not eyes that they were playing with/eating that happened to resemble Tip’s. Gotta be careful about these things when it comes to werewolves.)
Hmm. We seem to be coming back to old plotlines and approaching Chekhov’s Guns going off — Sweatheart’s pack, Tip’s earring, all the Fusion Pies/Reactors in one place, etc.
But going by the book colors — Volume 6 was Grey, so we still have:
2.13 The Violet Fairy Book (1901)
2.15 The Crimson Fairy Book (1903)
2.16 The Brown Fairy Book (1904)
2.18 The Orange Fairy Book (1906)
2.19 The Olive Fairy Book (1907)
2.22 The Lilac Fairy Book (1910)
(We MIGHT not be doing all of them? Like, going from the palimpsest here http://skin-horse.com/comic/2016-04-17/#comment-200806 , at the point of writing she only had the cover characters planned until Crimson, but given that she hadn’t named Bubbles by that time I think it just wasn’t planning THAT far ahead.)
6 more books, if we’re doing the whole thing. Which puts the end of Mixed Up Files only at halfway through the full story, so dividing the chapters into groups of 3 (the average) puts us-right-now at the middle of Volume 10 (Olive), which….
Actually, that DOES sound reasonable for “things starting to seem like they’re coming together as a whole, but still who can tell”.
Not sure if one dog or interrupted dog. Not sure which is funnier.
I’m thinking it’d be funnier if it’s LOOK! SQUIRREL! just one dog.
That last line should be the motto for all K9 units.
It’s kind of like listening to Nick’s swear filter, except that’s really how the dogs talk.
Hmmmmm….. Wonder if Julie’s had any litters yet?

It’d be more interesting if they had Tip’s mojo! (Hey, maybe that’s where it went!)
That must be Buddy on the radio.
I can’t imagine why Nick is reluctant to go back here. :/
It’s Form 1779 for them.
I just love how Sweetheart’s ears are the semaphore of her emotions.
Their secret lair has mail delivery? Or is the Mailman just sort of a traditional bogeyman among all dogs?
All canines instinctively hate mailmen
Even the ones in UP which logically should never have been able to have ever seen a mailman, and I don’t think there were any squirrels there either
Sweethearts’ ear in panel two gives Tip a clownish grin.
This is why I love this comic.
Easy for you to say, Nick. You don’t have a butt.

Panel 2, sweetheart ear looks like a very smiling Tip. XD
