Some of it is the military training – once a course of action is decided – clear confident deliberate behaviour. When shifting gear (out of immediate casualty mode) things get wishy-washy.
He’s just decided he has an hour and has stepped out for reinforcements and to have a tiny bit of a meltdown. The facial expressions seem to imply he’s not as confident in the shift between 3rd and 4th panels.
Is GODOT’s power to affect verbal communication limited only to recorded messages or does the fact that direct conversation includes both verbal and nonverbal components prevent him from altering it?
So far he seems to be limited to the written word; GODOT hasn’t confounded spoken conversation, just written stuff. So it’s a visual component he affects, not auditory.
Looking it over, maybe GODOT just took over the speaker system and sent out its own messages rather than changing the existing recording. Regardless, it seems like imitating a human being (or zombie or intelligent talking dog) would be hard to pull off, particularly since you’d have to match up with the movements of the mouth. Hmmm.
That was the impression I got, yes. Note that GODOT doesn’t need pre-existing writing to create the illusion of a visual message, so if it could create the illusion of an auditory message, it wouldn’t need to change a recording, it could just have words come out of the air. Instead, GODOT only speaks when a speaker is available, and the rest of the time communicates in writing.
Something is messed up getting to your comic site the last few days. Any time I go to skin-horse.com I get a 505 resource not found error, but if I google “skin horse comic” and go from there, I get the latest comic on skin-horse.com/….. Does anyone know what’s going on?
Server problems. Apparently the hosting company moved a whole bunch of sites onto a new server a few days ago, and to say they’ve had some teething problems is a bit of an understatement 🙂
Ooh, are we at the “Let’s Get Dangerous” Tip Mode? I think we are!
Nice to know that Ginny and Sweetheart have their priorities straight! ^_^
Tip’s in hyper-competent mode. Hide the ladies and the men, and prepare to flush the toilet, ’cause $#!% be going /down!/
‘I know what you’re thinking. “Did he use six sock puppets or only five?”…’ No more Mr. Nice Guy? 🙂

To me it just looks like he’s annoyed.
(TUNE: “Here Comes The Sun”, The Beatles)
Lee ‘n’ Sweetheart,
We need to stop this competition …
Lee ‘n’ Sweetheart,
It’s not the same old pointless game!
[CHORUS:]
You ask “Who won?”
Whichever one
Can stop the …
Mass murder!
Robo-Ruby,
Please give us access to GODOT now …
Robo-Ruby,
It just got serious in here!
[repeat CHORUS]
Three, two, one,
It’s begun!
Game is done,
No one won!
Game is over!
We’ve got an hour to stop the slaughter!
Game is over!
We’ve got to try to all not die!
[repeat CHORUS]

He altered the audio of the recorded tour box for Unity, didn’t he?

Ansigma causes mass murder, it doesn’t stop it.

I love Badass Tip.
Dana, are you using software that gives you more privacy while web browsing? I found I had less trouble when I allowed the normal “Referrer:” header.
