I suppose I don’t recall Nick’s time in the drone entirely correctly, because I thought he and Ginny ended that arc on a “Lets spend time together but not in a fake body” note, not a rejection note.
This matches with what I remember, as well. I got the impression they both misunderstood what they were saying to each other, and both ended up feeling rejected.
M and Hitty, M and Hitty,
One is el-o-quent and one is pretty!
See the two combine there!
His head is loose, it’s by de-sign there!
H and ‘Stachio, H and ‘Stachio,
They are looking for some things to smash, yo!
Now, instead of necking,
They’re off to find the yard of … wrecking!
Boo-hoo! U-nity deplores now!
Stole her idea!
Smash! Bash! Crash against the door now!
On-
-O-ma-to-poei-a!
M and Hitty, M and Hitty!
One’s laconic and the other’s witty!
It may sound immodest,
But they don’t care!
This perfect pair,
It seems that they’re
The couple … odd-est!
This could be a problem. Office romances don’t often end well. Especially when one half of the romance is not only capable of flattening cars but does so for amusement.
Wait, so is breaking things the equivalent of sex for Moustachio and Hitty? If so, the last story was probably the most pornographic storyline ever put into a webcomic (and yes, I know that’s saying something).

I think she took it the wrong way. Nick is kindof hard to explain.
Also Lee isn’t the best at social cues. Does anyone have a link to that strip? I’d like to double check what was said.
I think the conversation in question is the one that starts here:

Don’t recall Nick romantically rejecting Dr. Lee. Unless…there’s some *other* aircraft she’s been involved with since they last met…
He ‘just friended’ her.
Bobbles is back in body. Also… Hmm… I thought for a moment that Unity’s shirt said something… Oh well.
Yeah, it says Cheese.
A reference to “Endtown?”
I think it’s a reference to Cheese, as in “I Like…”
But then again, I could be wrong.
Who *else* wants to give Hitty an armored “Whack-a-Mole” game? Make a nice Sunday sketch…
For Hitty, the world is a Whack-a-Mole game.

If Moustachio calls Hitty “our fetching intern,” does that mean Hitty can fetch?
Yes, but the things she fetches may not be in very good shape… NEVER ask her to fetch a kitten!
HITTY SAY KITTY KITTY KITTY!! HERE KITTY, TO HITTY!
–Dave, it will be offscreen of course, and H&M will return with the kitten sleeping atop Moustachio’s hat.
Right now, pretty much any questions we ask in the comments seem to get answered in the next strip!
I’m so pleased for Moustachio and Hitty. They make a lovely couple.

I think Shaenon and Jeffrey missed an opportunity here. Instead of saying “Splendid!”, M should have said “Smashing!”
