From what we’ve seen, the sea monster exhibits a range of challenging behaviours when it’s ignored. It probably became a mascot in the first place (or, possibly, an object of worship) when people realised that it disrupted their fishing less if they made a fuss of it.
Jonah may have had a precognition that joining AG-I would be a bad idea, but Nick has actually worked for them. I’m going to go with his way round in this case.
Either way works for me!
Nick chopped up Hanlon’s razor with its own reverse.
I’m gonna file this under ‘Hanlon’s Rogaine’
I knew it! The sea monster was just trying to get their attention, and the AG-I doofs went all shooty on it, like they do.
Which mean Tip’s idea to talk with it first is, in hindsight, actually legit.
Honestly, if you aren’t in immediate danger, it almost always is.
When do the therapy puppets come out?
Already in use off-screen. We’ll just see the aftermath when we switch back to the high seas.
It frequently is!
It’s Puff!
Nah, not a dragon, it’s Cecil the Sea-sick Sea-Serpent
Very nice alliteration/assonance.
It sounds like you never saw Beany and Cecil. That was one of my favorite shows as a child.
Bob Clampett at his best!
The only Beany and Cecil episode I can remember was when they searched for the singer Dinah Sore on No Bikini Atoll. Yow!
I hadn’t even HEARD of Beany and Cecil until this thread.
Are we going to be seeing a sea monster as drawn by Robin soon? (Have we already?)

There seems to be enough of both floating around for either of them to have a point.
Let’s not forget malicious stupidity.
Or stupid malice?
Yes, I realize that’s a redundancy, since malice is, by its nature, stupid.
