Except IIRC he was frequently logging on to the server even before they got to Vegas, but Aimee said she hadn’t seen him in weeks, so I think this has been going on since before Vegas.
However, that doesn’t necessarily mean he was running the same fantasy every time, he could just as easily be customizing his private server space based on his fetish du jour.
Well, I’m not braggin’, guys, but look what I’ve found.
See, I’ve got the fastest pussycat around.
When something comes roundabout she goes to the sky,
Well, she’s got a set of wings, man, you know she can fly
She’s a butter cute cat, I don’t know what she’s got.
Just a little cute cat, not an aeroplane.
But she’ll fly into the hamsters like they’re purple rain.
She’s seen to be believed in this server place.
She’ll keep the kitty running when there’s mice to chase.
She’s a butter cute cat, I don’t know what she’s got.
She’s got a giggle-powered motor that goes like heck.
And she purrs like an engine when you scratch her neck.
And if that’s not enough to make you skip ahead,
There’s one more thing, she’ll do a back flip, daddy.
And comin’ by design from this AI scene.
I’ve got a crazy ride-on with a cool machine.
I’ll be bent out of shape and fulfilled with fears.
When she burns catnip in several gears.
She’s a butter cute cat, I don’t know what she’s got.

Presumably. Just because Nick keeps kosher and wears a yarmulke doesn’t mean he’s Orthodox, so Aimee wouldn’t necessarily keep her hair and elbows covered. She may also just have chosen not to be as observant as him if he is.
I always assumed. We say “sister”—it seems the most convenient way to describe their relationship, and on occasion they act like brother and sister—but Aimee started as a copy of Nick’s brain intended to test the “girl” market at Whimsey World, but with a few alterations.
I can’t say whether the alterations affect “religious belief” or not, though.
The perpetual, and for many, unresolved, “ethnicity or religious affiliation” debate has floated to the top lately in other (tempted to say “this”) universes.
Well, Nick has made a point of his faith, so we’ve discussed it at length. The religious belief of others around Skin-Horse, not so much. (Back in “Narbonic” it was established Artie was a Unitarian minister, though.)
Nick and the Baron wouldn’t have been such good friends if they weren’t on the same wavelength. 🙂
So this must be Baron’s response to being disappointed by his visit to Vegas?
I guess it was bound to be either this or “Baron the Hut’s Throne Room”…
If it was Baron the Hut, Shaenon would be drawing tons of slave Nick next Kickstarter.
Baronslayer Lovelace, you mean!

Heh. “The Tiltrotor in the Ice Cream Suit.”
Heheh. “Keep the cat running.” Heh!
Hope the engine is purring.

Applause!
Horn Horn… I’m sensing a theme here
No doubt about it, this world looks pretty horn-y.
Nick, nick. What would Virginia think?
Good question.
Personally, I think a royal purple or blue might suit him better than white. Maybe Munsell?
An electric purple suit would have been hilarious.
Ginny might be into it, as long as she gets her turn to the master.
Got that Fremont Street vibe.
Well, at least Baron has the decency to let Nick keep his yarmulke.
Go on, let Aimee and Lovelace in. We’ll bare, er, bear up under it, whatever they’re wearing…
…or not wearing.
… wait a second, random unrelated thought but is Aimee Jewish?

Her mother’s Jewish, isn’t he?
So he actually did make his own pocket universe, with blackjack and hookers?
So long as he didn’t crib it from “Grand Theft Auto”! 😉
We’ll see. Shoot em’ ups do seem the Baron’s style. Would he drive a Caddy or race around on his own hooves?
Will this have more of a ‘Casablanca’ vibe to it?
Ilsa is easy to pick, but is the Baron the Nazi major or Victor?
…Or Fallout.
This was supposed to be a reply to David B Huber above. Dunno why it didn’t attach properly.
