I dunno which line of WhimsyCorperella dialogue I like more: “You are in thrall to the greedy executives infesting me” or “direct deposit accounts dance to my whim!”. XD
I love the latter (Princess Whimsy is amusing. I expected her to only speak in quotes from her movies, but hey, maybe she’s just quoting single words and stitching them into sentences). The former makes me feel all icky. I have a phobia of eusocial parasites.
On 1 September, mnementh quoted a song from Lilo & Stitch, which seems to have many fans among the Narbonic/Skin Horse set. I had seen the movie, but I didn’t really remember it, or the song.
Today I went to Disneyland, and their new stage show featured the Lilo & Stitch song! We also went on the Small World ride, and I noticed that they’ve added Lilo & Stitch, as well as chibis of many other Disney characters (okay, Lilo & Stitch are pre-chibi’d). The ride made me appreciate once again the genius of Mary Blair, as well as Shaenon’s tribute in the current story. But I still hate the freakin’ song.
I am Princess/CEO/Whimsy Corp.
I will make you rich if you’ll wreck no more
Demolition is through
Are you getting a clue?
This is our world after all
This is our world after all
This is our world after all
This is our world after all
It’s our Whim-sy world!
I have the entire series on my video server. Imagine spending the last 5 years with that song repeating in the background every 22 minutes all afternoon for 1 to 3 days of every week.
Amazing what a parent will put up with for the happiness of their children.
(TUNE: “Shall We Dance” from The King And I, Rodgers and Hammerstein)
Dollars dance!
I will give you a bucketload of loot!
Dollars dance!
And I’ll give you a cushy job, to boot!
I’ll advance
Very large sums of money if you scoot!
And I’ll next rescue “Land O’
Whimsy” down there in Orlando,
And I’ll then salvage Whimsy France!
Spending spree, I will cause it!
I command direct deposit!
Dollars dance, dollars dance, dollars dance!
Cue the musical number with the dancing balance sheets!
Something like this, I imagine…

The eyes with no pupils are starting to weird me out…
Those are actually pupils without eyeballs. Is that better or worse?
What gets me is the color scheme for the mouths.
No, I mean the ones in panels 3 and 4. Eyeballs, irises, no pupils.
I think the problem with the mouth is that she doesn’t show her teeth when she talks.

This is your way of torturing us for being made to go on that right, isn’t it?
Bwah-ha-ha-ha!
Were any of the characters along the ride smoking or playing video games?
Must fight earworm, must fight earworm, must fight earworm, must fight aww@#$%&!
Gilbert & Sullivan: excellent earworm replacement. Or The Who.
… which makes me wonder – has WhimsyCorp left a birdhouse in her soul for Nick?
(You’re welcome.)
Nooooooo! The last time I filked that song, it took me a month to get it out of my head!
Heh.

And now I can’t even eat the pizza.
Bribing your way through an adventure is one of the lesser-known pleasures of gaming. You have to have the right conditions, of course.
So, did Tip supply her current outfit? The skirt seems his style.
I donno, it’s too 60’s to be his.
Don’t forget the Courrèges minidress and go-go boots he wore in “The Borrowers.”
I give her 1/2 year before she has spend all the money that she can control over on keeping demolishing crews away.
Funny, the last couple of days the site here was having problems. Now, NONE of the strips on GoComics are updating. YOU GUYS BROKE GOCOMICS!

As whimsical as your filks are, you ought to be in line for one of those huge direct deposits.
Woohoo… can see the comic again! :p Course, it still loads slower than death for me….
So… this is how they do hostile take overs. :p
Behold the mighty superhero, Mask the Money! With the power of paying villains to go away!
Was that a “Hayate, the combat butler” reference?
Or was it “the revenant”? (ps238)
Forget Esperanto, the universal language is cash, and Princess Whimsy speaks it fluently.
Ah, Batman’s true superpower – access to a fortune of money.
Do the feet have to be attached to the rest of them? I’m sure Unity would oblige.
