I’m all for her teasing him but at this rate she’s going to break him. Plus, I may be wanting to see this weird dance move in a new direction so, you know, bias.
Latent my foot. She created Unity and Nick, both designed to be weapons of mass destruction (she’s 1 for 2). In fact, she opened up Nick’s skull and, with pleasure, “schlorped out his brains.” She’s as horrifying, mad and evil as Helen, despite the fact that we root for them both.
@Manifesta in case of reply misplacement: Yes, her creation of Nick and Unity is hard to ignore, but most active mads tend to own up to their madness a lot more (evil laughs, saying “You fools! I am superior!” and all that). Doc Lee seems to know that the stuff she does is morally questionable, but she doesn’t seem to have a full appreciation for how strange and outside the norm it is, tending to chalk it up to normal science.
That being said, perhaps Ginny is just hiding her active madness and the Skin Horse crew are so used to weird stuff that they don’t see through it?
I tend to think that Dr. Lee is a regular genius scientist in the reverse-engineering business who is having _way_ too much fun surfing the Madness waves.
These genius types get bored so easily you know.
I’m sure this has already come up, but… Evil does not necessarily imply madness. Dr Lee’s job is actually to reverse engineer mad science into sane science; thus making it possible for normal scientists to reproduce.
Which is not to say that it’s impossible for Dr Lee to be a latent mad, mind you; there are some hints pointing to it (the strongest of those was with the Brain machine. Sergio couldn’t follow her!), but it’s important to keep in mind that it’s possible for her not to be, too.
“Thus making it possible for normal scientists to reproduce.” If, as you seem to assume, Dr Lee is to be considered normal, it would take mad science because who would want to risk reproducing Dr Lee’s genetic anomalies? We don’t know of her having any traumas that would cause her lack of understanding, so it must be genetic.
Not to mention missing lady parts, unless the drone got a nipple upgrade (a la Jason X).
Nipples are not lady-specific, last time I checked.
Blushing must be an upgrade.
I was under the impression that the skinny blonde robot did not, in fact, have floating lady parts, in any case.
I think Virginia may be more aware of how Nick feels about her than I had suspected.
Bouncing, yes. Floating, no.
Since Ginny was involved in Nick’s “transformation”, could she have read his mind? Can she continue to read his feelings.
I think he’s just that obvious.
Come on Dr. Lee, we know you’re having fun but Nick’s so outside his experience context with this you need to hold back the teasing.
Oh, I didn’t catch the filter font and for a second thought he actually had floating lady parts.
I was just about to say that too. It’s too early in the morning for me.

Oh, the floating lady parts!
Nick’s emoting, now the teasing starts!
And Doctor Lee
Starts to tease him unprofessionally!
She is so-o-o hot, got a crush!
But a ro-o-o-bot should not blush!
So thin and blonde …
Silly man, of you Vir-gi-ni-a’s fond!
Hear the Doctor quip,
A relationship
With an aircraft isn’t the norm!
If you think too much,
Oh, no …
Ginny’s form makes your face get warm!
Oh, the floating lady parts!
Ginny’s doting, she’s got more than smarts!
They’ll share their hearts …
And her floating lady parts!
No she doesn’t.
Builds character, and the capacity to interact with attractive ladies, which is something he is sorely lacking in.
Ok, my comment was supposed to be in response to Paul’s about how Virginia needed to stop teasing Nick.
Not sure what happened there

“I imagine it is!?”
“I IMAGINE it is!?”
What is Dr. Lee not telling us about herself? You know, beyond “most things.”
It’s the problem I mentioned yesterday. Some of the replies are floating around a little too much, and not linking to the original message.
I return once again to my “Dr. Lee is latent-mad” theory…
And that was supposed to be a response to wykstrad…oy, WordPress!

crap. I missed the word filter’s bold on my first read
When a human blushes, it indicates embarrassment, and light teasing should continue to bolster the subject’s resistance to such.
When a robot drone blushes, it indicates that the cooling system is not functioning, and the subject is in danger of shutting down/exploding.
Dr. Lee should cease teasing and move to a safe distance.
Wait, she’s teasing him? I didn’t think she had it in her.
