I find “Dead is Better” to be rather problematic, personally.
Imagine if someone, anyone, wore a shirt saying “[Insert Wearer’s Religious or Ethnic Subdivision Here] is Better”. It’d be virtually guaranteed to offend.
It’s not a neutral statement of support for minority rights; it’s a chauvinistic statement of intolerance. It is -quite literally- saying, “I’m better than you.”
It’s a riff on the tagline from Pet Semetary(sic), “Sometimes dead is better.” As in dead is better than undead. Unity’s shirt has the opposite meaning, undead is better than alive.
Except in the Narboniverse, not everyone dies. There are functionally immortal creatures of numerous sorts – robots, sentient corporations, crystal entities, et cetera.
Also, death is not the same thing as undeath – which is what the shirt presumably is actually advocating. Death may be inevitable for some beings, but undeath certainly isn’t – and many people very much don’t view undeath as preferable to death.
It’s problematic no matter how you try to slice it.
Fine. So it’s not a zombie rights shirt. Big deal. I can’t stand the band Megadeth. But I don’t criticize people for wearing that on a t-shirt. They’re entitled to their opinion, and Unity is entitled to hers. Just because you don’t like her opinion doesn’t mean you need to criticize it.
In this crowd? That just might mean it’s eleven o’clock and the lunch buffet is open. (Vegetarian, with a side order of brains courtesy of Dr. Lee’s work.)
Possessing people after they’ve already died is just adding insult to injury.
So to speak.
And ripping their arms off is just adding injury to insult.
Possessing people after they’ve already died is nine tenths of the law.
I love all her zombie rights shirts.

Except that it is support for a condition we will all eventually contract. It is more like ageism in favor of the elderly – “Older is better”…

Maybe you’re just being overly critical.

Older usually means more money. Usually.
Richer is better
In the immortal words of Frankenstein’s Monster “We belong dead”
They oughta check that out…

At least Unity has an alibi. They can cross her off the list of usual suspects.
The parts of Unity we can see have an alibi. Aren’t there still some bits running around loose?
Yeah, the Unity Ant is definitely still out there doing something.
Maybe it’s just the doorbell.
The Doorbell of Death!
Lovable Unity has been prowling at night biting people’s arms off :_( How can I ever look at her the same way again?
