Eggs, milk, wheat… nothing unusual. She’s not Smart Unity right now. She just wants to save the people because they gave her cake. But the point is that she wants to save them.
She’s an expert in biomechanics. It might not take a full nine months or she might arrange six or seven goinkings before it becomes an issue. Even money that any such combination would have rotors and wifi capability at the outset (I refuse to say birth until confirmation of the presence or absence of external gestation pods).
Forget them, if their kitchen’s empty.
Forget them, if they’ve got no ca-a-a-a-ake.
Don’t let them feed you forty-one, you.
‘Cause they can’t give you cake they haven’t baked.
Unity, they never dreamed about you.
They’ll make you sick, you wait and see.
So don’t regret now, just let it reset now.
Forget them, and please come back with me.

Pygar: You’re telling me. The big delay in the “trolley car problem” wouldn’t be repairing the damage caused by hitting those people, it would be from the inquiry to work out how it was able to hit people even with all of the safety systems in use. We just don’t have enough information available to work out how to minimise that sort of delay.
Unity’s ethics currently seem to be at the “Hooray, the people whose names I know are saved” level, while Dr Lee is looking at the big picture and all the people whose lives will be in danger if trying to rescue nice-seeming baddies jeopardises the mission. She also has more experience of nice-seeming A-Sig workers, like the one who got her extirpated. (And, lets be honest here, herself.)
I mean, personally, I’m with Unity here, but I can see Ginny’s point.
It appears to be a door that is open to the outside. It looks like it’s nighttime, so you can see the stars above and the ground below. So the only question I have is why is it just sitting there wide open? Do they not have automatic door closers in this high-security facility?
KT had a job, and she wasn’t alive.
But did she buy cake?
You can’t buy cake, you can only rent it.
Just don’t leave it out in the rain (unless it is Candy Rain)
and this is why normal unity is better then smart unity
Did I miss something here? What was IN the cake?

Dammit Virginia! When are you gonna step up and be a mother!
Nine months after she goinks Nick?

Just say Spawn.
Regardless of the mechanics of how sapient half-helicopter creation works, I guarantee the gamer would approve.
I take it mad biology is rather more Lamarckian than normal biology?
Also: I just tried to imagine what a half-human half-helicopter baby would look like, and it’s horrifying.
Discussions of moral behavior are often difficult, but this is definitely one of the strangest.
It gets to the right answer, though.
Unity has been watching Simpsons reruns again.
That would actually explain a lot about Unity.

That *is* one of many kinds of value, yes.
Okay, so Unity has a one-track mind as well.
Unity probably doesn’t realise how little they pay people on the walnut farm.
She’s brighter than this guy…

Faint praise, I’ll admit…

ACHIEVEMENT UNLOCKED
Unity levels up to “functional” sociopath!
(A bit late, but now that I think of it, would a strong innate desire to eat puppies and children count as a disability, legally speaking?)
Is one of U.N.I.T.Y.’s body parts taken from a Homo economicus?
Well, she has been in every kind of animal
Is it strange, or ‘normal’, that the undead killing eating machine values human life more than Doc Lee? o_O

Is that a door opening directly into outer space behind Ginny’s head in the first panel?
It appears to be a door that is open to the outside. It looks like it’s nighttime, so you can see the stars above and the ground below. So the only question I have is why is it just sitting there wide open? Do they not have automatic door closers in this high-security facility?
They probably disabled the automatic closing function. Someone might get hurt by having a door closed on them.
The cake is a lie.
Isn’t it always? Never trust cake.
But pi is forever
Pi? Pi is so irrational that it’s transcendental.
It sure goes on that way.
Cake is fake, pie is lye, eating too much of either will kill you
Well…. its progress, I guess.
