I know Unity has claimed to eat metal, but this may be the first time I’ve actually seen her do it. I wonder if she’ll just keep it in her mouth for a while and then spit it out. Or maybe it will just dissolve in there. o_O
It’s limited by being unlimited – he sees multiple possible futures, obviously he can’t look at every possibility because it would take too long. He can only sample them, try to pick out some crucial actions to either take or avoid to improve the chances of a desirable outcome.
I was going to say it would take forever, but you don’t have forever. The future you’re looking at is going to arrive, you have a limited amount of time to choose your actions.
I wouldn’t say that “Try not to die” is unnecessary, just somewhat obscure.
It’s sort of like saying “Don’t bother trying to WIN, it ain’t gonna happen. Just try to survive!”
Well, that, plus Jonah is probably assuming that the rest of the gang doesn’t have a save point the way he did in “Choose”, so death would be more fatal for them than it was for him.
The laws of comedy will demand it. Two weeks from now, they will need a wrench for some critical situation, and U.N.I.T.Y. will have to take ipecac to cough up this one. It will have teeth marks on it, but it will do the job.
“We could charge you all with baking and partying on company property, but since someone ate the evidence, we’ll let you off with a warning this time.”
There’s something wonderfully cartoonish about Unity having a clear wrench shape in her cheeks and still being able to say “wrenchalicious” while eating a wrench.
Hopefully they didn’t use it at the wrong time and have to start over….

Unity ate Godot at the end of Railway Children.
Good point. I forgot about that one.
There was some discussion about finding lugnuts in the Skin Horse toilets, but that could be anybody.
Don’t forget Remy mentioned her eating a parking meter waaaay back in the chapter they met in…
Remember, when you presume, you make a present for “u” and me.
Er… uh……. yeah. Close enough.
Now I am imagining the actual team shows up and they’re the Skin Horse team’s bizarro twins, Seinfeld-style.
Top will accuse them of being a “test infiltration” team and have the staff lock ’em up, hopefully with Mr. Green included.
or if they’re quick-thinking enough, Skin Horse will accuse them
I think OneUniverse meant to say that Tip will have the staff lock up the real A-Sig team.
Who’s Jonah again?
The psychic guy with the (limited) ability to see the future.
No, it’s pretty much unlimited. That’s the problem actually.
He’s actually said that it’s limited. The problem is that he doesn’t have much control over it.

Now I wonder what Jonah was right about – that they could distract Unity with the wrench, or that it is delicious…
Jonah said “Take a wrench. Try not to die. That’s all I’ve got.”
Virginia is just surprised that the wrench actually proved useful.
Offhand, I would say that “Try not to die!” constitutes good advice as well. Possibly *ominous* advice, but good advice all the same. ^_^
I would also say that “Try not to die” is entirely unnecessary advice.
With Skin Horse??? o_O
Not necessarily. >_>
These past few cartoons have emphasized how feckless they can be unless someone hits them with a cluebat.

It may still be a Chekhov’s wrench.
But surely this isn’t the third act already.

Stuff happeneth.
Stand by for more gut-wrenching excitement!
Don’t you mean wrench-gutting?
hmmmm… the wrench is just the right size to spann-her mouth
Was UNITY craving wrenches specifically… or did she just feel like a tool?
Perhaps she can wash it down with a screwdriver.
A few more puns like these, and I’ll need a screwdriver (not the metal kind).
I think you’ve hit the nail on the head.
Well, they’re all old saws.
Perhaps her iron count was a little low.
And the Team scores. If they can keep a leash on the powerful, impulsive and usually wrong clown and restrain her from spoiling their good luck.
Hey! Is that ‘team’ from A-Sig gonna be the New Orleans Train team?
Will they think to check their IDs?
This is AnaSigma, so asking for ID might get you extirpated.
Carrying ID might get you extirpated.
The people throwing a surprise party all have their IDs clipped to their shirts or blouses or whatevers…
Well, lock ’em all up!
