I suspect we have a mole here. (Probably not literally, though with transgenics you can’t be sure.)

      Is he a plant?

Again, you may need to be more specific.

          He could be both kinds.

Ah yes, both kinds – plant AND mole!

Way better than shouting “Resistance is useless!”

Actually, in an electronic circuit, resistance is not futile. After all, there’s no place like ohm.

Resistance is useless if ohms < 1.

      Resistance is voltage over current.

Perhaps reality blindness is working in their favor?

There are worse dates for them than hiding out with an animal lover. At least they can get some chow while planning their next move.

Yay! First one word, now practically a soliloquy, and delivered like a veteran of the theater. Steve, the comic would not exist without you. It’s time to renegotiate your contract. Channel your inner Emmy Rossum.

    I’m thinking it’s Sergio.

That would be an interesting twist. But I’d be annoyed that you predicted that yesterday. Annoyed mainly because I didn’t predict it.

Just that I always thought…sometime, before the end…they would have to meet.

It would be an interesting twist, yes. But Sergio’s skin tone is lighter than the exposed bit of face we’re seeing in panel three, which suggests that this guard might be somebody else (who may or may not be a known character).

Unless it’s a coloring error, of course, in which case all bets are off.

First Kyle dies, and now you want to to retroactively eliminate Steve from the entire spacetime continuum? I don’t have the right diabolical mindset to imagine what you bastards have planned for Eddie.

We may need to install new authors if the current regime refuses to respond to the will of the people. All party members’ votes will be counted. You can vote at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_PXIui8sa2U . I trust the incumbents will respect the democratic process.

If you lack the right diabolical mindset, you’re reading the wrong comic.

Not even sure what that’s about. Must be something I don’t watch / read.

Near as I can tell, he’s decided to name the unnamed characters.

Yeah, but Cinnamon is the one yelling about suffering. And a gerbil would make a lousy pillow.

…I have this really weird mental picture now of Helen tranquilizing one of the Ur-gerbils and using it as a mattress.

Perfect! Helen reclining on a sleeping Ur-Gerbil, with Jungle Mell running around rampant!

The ur-gerbils would just take it out on Dave.
