At least Tip showed up. A friend used to work at a large global corporation and his department had three different bosses in two months. Not a single one of them actually showed up or bothered to talk to anyone in his department. One of the many reasons he no longer works there and is much happier with life.
I had a job once where, after working there for years, I stumbled across an org chart and discovered that the person I was theoretically reporting to was someone I had met twice and didn’t even realize was in my department.
My current team leader, who’s been in the job about month, recently announced a) that five people (not including me) are being transfered to his former department in April and b) that the whole point of him being in our department was to facilitate this, after which he accompanies them back.
He’s a nice enough guy, but it does feel like a flying visit.
I’d rather say it sounds like they’re going to close, sell or externalize one of the departments. If there is a valid union not too far, it could be worth a coffee talk…
I had the idea of making a vlog about fake conspiracies, once? Written half a dozen episodes, before I remember there will *always* be someone taking it at face value… (There is a conspiracy theory about Qanon conspiracists being from an italian historical fantasy novel)
So, getting back to the whole “Wizard of Oz” thing, in the sequel, “Marvelous Land of Oz” a boy named Tip (SPOILERS!) eventually transforms into a princess and becomes Queen of Oz. Could Tip be transforming into the Queen of Anasigma? Sure would shut Mr. Green down!
Tip’s giving a speech to the Bureau. But he’s not long for a boss to enduro. He leaves right away for a new power play, with disgruntled employees for sure-o.
Watch Tip singlehandedly sabatoge/take-over the entire shadow government, by taking all the high-clearance positions and leave them headless or with him as the de facto head.
Thanks, Khn0. I think I figured out the problem; this site isn’t compatible with the HTTPS Everywhere addon. This isn’t an HTTPS site.
I have no idea why this happened, since I’ve run on FF for months with no problems, but they may well have updated the addon.
(I found this when I realized that a clean version of Firefox worked, while one with HTTPS Everywhere didn’t._
FWIW, I work for the state and am at my second agency bc while it’s not higher clearance it’s easier work (emotionally), marginally better pay, and more convenient to get to.
Eh, I’ve had worse bosses.
He’s the kind of boss I wish I had on several jobs.
You don’t get New Broom Syndrome if the new boss doesn’t care enough to sweep out the old.

Wow, a cordless bungee boss!

Do you think Chris will use this to pad out his resume?
I suspect he’d be a fool not to. Assuming that any of A-sig’s infrastructure survives the story, of course.
Well, Tip doesn’t pad his bra anymore (I think), so why not let Chris pad a resume?
“I don’t know why you say goodbye, I say hello.”

I think my concern would be what happens to everyone else in your department after said transfer takes place.
Seconded! Sounds like a poaching promotion.

Inspirational! Dare to dream!
At least he’s honest about his career goals, and doesn’t try to hide them behind bureaucratic doublespeak.
No time for that.
Chemtrails. Just the trick for tracking otherwise stealthy aircraft…
It’s a new conspiracy theory on me.
Of course! Half the fun of conspiracy theories is making up new ones – the more plausible the better! 😉

I LOVE their logo. Could not be better.

I often wondered how Baum got away with that back then.
Ozma was did rely on her wardrobe for much of her power. I assume Tip has the Belt and Pearls already.

Such is the power of the org chart.
Tip is the very model of a modern upward manager.
I see what you did.
He’s information vegetable, mineral and, er, tanager
>slow clap<
This is Tip, the quick-climbing jobskipperous.
He is looking for a rhyme for the first line of this poem.
But there aren’t many.
Could be joined by Unity, who’s vociferous and omnivorous.
Cephalivorous?
I am having problems linking to your site on Firefox style browsers. Not sure what it is. Chrome seems to work.
Almost forgot, the issue began on the strip for 2021-11-20
Just tried it using firefox, from a website I administer and it just went fine.

This is super common.
Geez, Tip, what’s with the honesty? Are you trying to be refreshing or something?
Lying is too much work. If he tells the truth as much as possible, he doesn’t have to remember so much of what he’s told people.
So Tip is backed by Godot? 🙂
