Why are jetpacks suppressed, out of curiosity?
To protect the automotive industry, obviously.
Because they’re dangerous and impractical, and the insurance industry doesn’t want the headaches.

Because they can. That’s why. I’m waiting for the day when I walk in on one of those murder case TV programs and they list the suspect’s motive as “boredom”. That seems as good a reason as any to off someone.
