Not sure it’s a good idea to give snakes marshmellows.

Well, they used to eat robots if I remember right (and usually eat mice), and besides which, are YOU going to capable of denying a Bambi-eyed talking cobra his or her snack? I have enough trouble not feeding extra mice to *my* pet snakes when they look sad!

Do you know what those marshmellows are made of?

If they’re like typical store-bought marshmallows, then refined sugar and gelatin. So plant goo and animal goo, which is pretty much what all food is by the time one is done chewing it (although some people and animals exclusively eat only one or the other, rather than both).

However, given the context, one probably shouldn’t rule out the possibility that they could be special mad science marshmallows.

I suppose there’s a reason the Killbot and Hitty aren’t more than a match for this species, so maybe we’ll find out why not later.

Or Shelby will be reminded that they are. Notice, he’s the one calling retreat, the others are just getting ready to party.

It may well be that there’s more than the three that we see.

Not only a species. I expect they’re sui generis.

Pray forgive my ignorance, sir, but please define “Sui generis”? I’m afraid my Latin is not so much rusty as it is thoroughly corroded.

“Of its own kind”, meaning that it comprises not only a species, but its own genus (and sometimes family, order, etc.). In this case, though, “vegetable zombie” is clearly an existing kingdom in the Skin Horse world, alongside “occult zombie”.

Unity, however, might well be her own kingdom… or maybe not anymore. I’m wondering what might have since happened to her various hosts from the Notary arc, given that she might have left traces behind, and the goo clearly replenishes itself from the host body.

Much confusion and fun is to be had classifying our engineered creatures!

By the way, it looks like the goldenrod was invited to the party, too.

Vegetable based carnivorous goats. If they weren’t trying to eat everything in sight, they might be cute. Whoever linked them to the vegetable lamb appears to have been closer than we thought.

Are there six of them there? They couldn’t get in a line change, but they’re probably good enough to go a full 60 minutes.
