Yeah, that’s about the level of competence and responsibility I would expect from D&D players expected to be prison guards. Good thing the prisoners are Mostly Harmless. 😀
Look, D&D players know that the prison guards are supposed to give you a chance to escape, otherwise it isn’t fair. If they let which side of the bars they’re on affect that, they’re just hypocrites.
Nice limerick! I’m pretty sure Alpha Alpha was always more violent and remorseless than Echo Bravo, although I think Sweetheart was probably talking about Echo Bravo, given that he was the prisoner. If I recall correctly, I don’t believe Alpha Alpha was technically captured.
