Aw, cute to see again how the couples (well, throuple here ;P) with parties on both sides of the human/nonhuman thing keep choosing to stay together on Earth. Honestly especially glad to see it work out for this bunch. As late a development as it was and as rightfully dubious as the humans involved technically should be, they’ve really been just so charming, and I’ll miss them if this is where they exit the comic.
…Now, whatever targeted Chris and Marcie may follow up on these goons too. Of course, with a nonhuman with then this time, what happens with Valiant then?
Yeah, that’s about the level of competence and responsibility I would expect from D&D players expected to be prison guards. Good thing the prisoners are Mostly Harmless. ๐
Look, D&D players know that the prison guards are supposed to give you a chance to escape, otherwise it isn’t fair. If they let which side of the bars they’re on affect that, they’re just hypocrites.
Nice limerick! I’m pretty sure Alpha Alpha was always more violent and remorseless than Echo Bravo, although I think Sweetheart was probably talking about Echo Bravo, given that he was the prisoner. If I recall correctly, I don’t believe Alpha Alpha was technically captured.
Depends on if Shaenon or Jeff is writing the script.
Those three are gonna make the weirdest version of “The Incredible Journey” yet!
I think you just planted the seed for the Author’s next great opus.
Or they’ll get gassed like Chris and Marcie.

Great plans are like flowing water.
Adventurers are like nets.
It NEVER goes to plan.

Does Valiant ride for half fare?
Is there a standard fare structure for Emotional Support Animals?
And would Valiant complain about that title? Even if it saved them money?
I don’t think Valiant would be the Emotional Support Animal in that trio.
This.^
That really is good news ๐

They’ll be the most normal passengers on the bus. ๐
And I was just about to ask what happened to them.
So many threads being tied up in cute little bows.
Which other characters have we missed? The Annex One janitor, (Shelby?), comes to mind.
Since we’re wrapping up loose ends, how’s Imogene doing?
Huzzah! A Greyound bus makes a good Rocinante, even though Valiant’s vibe is technically more swashbuckler than knight errant.
Which ones built The Rings in this analogy?
โฆPierre Menard?
“From goon to boon in five easy steps!”
A remorseless and violent goon is seen by his friends as a boon. He asks if it’s dirty before he gets flirty, but maybe he’ll find out, and soon.

Well, being tied down for a couple of days house sitting for my brother, I was happy that Shaenon and Jeff provided me with a rhyme right off.
