Old Ira having Armistice Day in his memory implies the whole Merlin-like reverse aging theory might be wrong. If he’s just an ordinary guy, it does give him an implied minimum age. Although I spose it doesn’t effect the idea of his being stuck in time.
The problem here is that the Department of Temporal Anomalies cleared him. They could be wrong, admittedly, but I’m placing my money on Chris or Marcie or somesuch getting tossed around in time.
The department of Temporal Anomalies got a call from the future clearing him. That doesn’t mean that he was really cleared. Just that at some point in the future the DTA wants the present DTA to think that he is cleared”
I, too, liked Dawn Wells’ character more than Tina Louise’s, but then I found out that Tina was drafted at the last minute so she didn’t get much say in how her character was handled, so I get the Ginger roll.
Armistice Day pre-dates leisure suits significantly.
1953 and earlier, per Wikipedia…
1919 in the Commonmwealth
Also leisure suits date back to the 1930’s apparently, but are derived from safari or bush jackets, which predate WWI
The Tin Woodsman gets a heart?
Given the other, rather horrible possibilities in this universe, I would be pleasantly surprised if this is true.
Ira is the Wizard, he thinks.
Well, (1) I guess this means Nick is back on staff with Skin Horse, and (2) somehow, it just doesn’t seem like Nick if he’s not swearing.
Nick’s an adult, capable of good behavior. It’s not like Ira is the Dork Knight, although we haven’t seen the two together…
Perhaps Ira has met the Fabrini?

MY guess is that he’s unstuck in time, like Dave, flashing around on the timeline giving sensible advice on various points in time.

Well, yes, but barring further evidence, Ochkam’s Razor suggests that it is what it seems to be.
Still, given how temporal paradoxes tend to work, you may be right…
honestly, knowing this comic, we’re probably safer operating under Arkham’s razor

I thought for a second the heart was a Happy Apple- there is a resemblance…
