I dunno. I guess this is where political scientists and others involved in the social sciences think differently from normal people because *my* reaction was, “Information sources that might be useful in understand the people around me and manipulate them into becoming my happily, loyal and obedient puppets who enjoy doing my will? Cool!”.
*coughs*
Not that I as a completely sane social scientist would ever use such things except for Good, of course. With Great Power Come Great Responsibility after all. ^_~
Ah. In that case permit me to apologize for the unintended slur. It was my mistake to forget that while normality is a narrow thing the ways in which one may be weird are really quite many. Mea culpa. ^_^
That said, in reacting as I do to Tip’s resource list I was assuming that he would be using his known expertise to filter for quality by steering his beneficiary away from the free sites he thought were bunk and towards those whose methodology he respected and in doing so save his beneficiary valuable research time.. @_@
Dead porcupines, OTOH, seem to me to be easy enough to obtain. Just go into a forest where they are known to live and then assist it’s transition to The Other Side so that one may thus obtain the use of it’s now dead body. Unity would probably say that I’m cheating by doing it that way but I would claim that my way, with the assistance of the right salts and herbs, would leave it edible for human consumption. ^_~
There’s a “locating a live porcupine” step in there, which I find is the most tedious part of the whole affair. Predeceased ones are easier to come by, though the condition is not always optimal.
I was just going to smack people in the face with it. Don’t underrate the threat of being smacked in the face with a dead porcupine for encouraging compliance.
I’ve had poor experience with installing Linux on small mammals. I tried putting Slackware on a cat one time, and all it would do was lie around, in a fashion nearly indistinguishable from when it was dead. Or alive, for that matter. Its RC5 performance was suboptimal, too. It was good at appending one file to another, but that’s not a task that generally requires a dedicated necroware platform.
We see dead porcupines on a somewhat regular basis, though not recently as there’s been this cold white stuff on the ground for a while. I understand that global warming means that it’ll be going away soon and maybe we’ll be seeing dead porcupines again.
I bet there’s a program to help with Unity’s spoilers idea, too. An email, text message, or voice message a week from a blocked number, at a random day and time during daylight hours.
I’m suddenly recalling that I’ve actually eaten porcupine; not bad, closer to beef than chicken. Of course that was cooked; I’m suspecting Unity might not bother with that.
I think I would probably prefer to receive Unity’s dead porcupine idea, too.

Firstly, I resent the implication that I’m a normal person.
Secondly, a list of free psychological resources online is as easy to come by as https://www.google.com/search?q=list+of+free+psychological+resources+online
Dead porcupines are a lot harder to come by. I haven’t seen one in months.

Human consumption?
I thought we’d install Linux on it. It worked on the dead badger.

John: I don’t know the full details, but it certainly sounds like that is a Useless Use of Cat.

Yes, but will they be Linux-ready dead porcupines?
I always thought that porcupines were more Windows-friendly, but maybe that’s just me.
You could always make porcupine pie (look it up-think Neal Diamond).
I wouldn’t take it. I’d like to give it to him, though.
Now, now, Unity is hoping to make beadwork from the quills. Honest.
Really? I was assuming that she was harvesting the quills for use in fine needlework, sewing being a “do or re-die” situation for her on occasion.
I bet there’s a program to help with Unity’s spoilers idea, too. An email, text message, or voice message a week from a blocked number, at a random day and time during daylight hours.
I feel that if my blog is in there that would lift it into at least close to a tie with a dead porcupine.
I’m suddenly recalling that I’ve actually eaten porcupine; not bad, closer to beef than chicken. Of course that was cooked; I’m suspecting Unity might not bother with that.
Dead porcupine…oh, that would be even fancier than a bat. https://youtu.be/aKAxikZmY-0
Poor Tip never knows what’s going on around him.
Are dead porcupines more or less fun than dead puppies…
I can never remember…
If it’s a zombie porcupine the recipient could use it as a hat.
Such a large number of pointed comments!
Barbed, even.
