I’ve always wanted to see Tip in his army uniform, before he started wearing women’s clothes. I’ll bet his shoes and medals were spit-shined to blinding!
From the filename story: “[…] very high IQ, never really lived up to it, muddled through several colleges, joined the army, was invisible until he started the drag thing in Afghanistan.”
So I’m not the only one who’s realized there’s a story being told there! I want to know if there’s a place I can get the whole story, instead of having to read it two or three words each day.
Oh, I have the story so far. But like I said to someone last week (about an entirely different story, actually)… Starting at the beginning and reading a narrative that is told a little at a time is like jumping off a cliff with a rope around your waist. It’s exhilarating until you get caught up to today’s installment, and then the rope is taut and stops you cold. Then each day the author let’s out a few more feet of rope, and then you’re dangling again. And to quote The Lion King, “man, I hate dangling!”
Tip loves getting excited about things and is very good at being enthusiastic about something while still being in control of a situation
What I’m saying is, Tip is the one doing the manipulating
**snicker** I keep looking at Tremontino and wondering if he’s related to Zonker’s Uncle Duke from Dunesbury.
I admit to being curious as to whether Tip can wear a man’s suit with anything like his usual aplomb.
I imagine him agonising over tiny accessorising touches to make himself look like a drag king.
Tip: “Quite an eye you have.” Unity: “Thanks, it’s from a guy in Jersey.” Too funny!
I hope Unity doesn’t need frequent upgrades, what with all those patches she’d have to have applied…
I wouldn’t worry about Unity’s upgrades. As she said in the werewolf thread, “Even my blood kicks ass!”
I suppose the guy wasn’t using it anymore.
Not after she got it, at least.
Yeah, nevermind all the patches Unity would have to have applied, think of all the patching her donors would have to do
Also upgrades, patches… Nicely punned Kitirena!
At least Unity’s patches are almost always successful. That’s more that we can say for the computer world.
The best part is thatI can see Tip wearing a suit even better than the can expect. And with no effort.
Just ’cause Tip is simply awesome in girls clothes, doesnt mean he can’t rock ANYTHING.
I’m thinking that Tip in a suit might read as double drag to me.
For Tip, wearing a suit is like wearing camouflage.
“Measure twice, cut once.”
The motto of both Tremontino and Dr. Lee, but for wildly different reasons and materials.
Well… if you want to her to wear a dress so much, then it would be fair if she wants you to wear a suit in exchange, wouldn’t it?

How do we know he didn’t wear a women’s uniform back then too?

Oh, that’s been going on since Narbonic. Here’s the story so far (courtesy of John Campbell, I assume, given the URL).

Be careful what you say, Tip. Unity might use the obvious solution to making sure a suit tailored to you fits… wearing your body, too.
