Speaking of Plan A, what did Nick mean to do about the drones when he said he’d “gotta get airborne”? We didn’t see his fly body do anything as mundane as, e.g., firing conventional weaponry at them ever since …
Oh, subtle! He feigns incapacity, lulls opponents into delirium fantasies of security,
and then he STRIKES…..the strategies of the subtle are very deep, unfathomable,
quick, strong, and go on forever, changing only with the seasons… Mount up!
I thought about that, too. But if they gang are all still mind-linked through Unity, using a code-phrase could bring disastrous results, because it would affect all of them.
I do so appreciate the quiet arc over this whole comic of Nick being made to realize he’s a talented, capable, lovable, even decent mother hugging son of a barch.
He’s been acquiring great power, a fantastic amount, yet he has yet to so much as suggest any ambition or desire to dominate. That tells you a lot about his character. In this way he is almost unique.
Almost unique in what context? It’s a pretty common attitude among normal people, not that many get the opportunity to prove it. I certainly have no ambition or desire to dominate those people I could.
They say that power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely. It’s just human nature.
Nick has acquired – in a very short timespan – a great deal more abilities than he probably ever dreamt of, even in all his video gaming. And yet, despite that sudden influx of power, he remains – at his core – the same old Nick he ever was.
I would say he is more than just almost unique. I would say that he is quite unique.
I have been tested by having a tiny bit of influence and perhaps power. I have failed
often, and very miserably. That is, at this late date, it’s a miserable vista.
I think NIck’s got a real chance to be a GREAT man. With few regrets…..
Everyone on earth is corruptible. In fact, since no one is perfect, everyone on earth is – on some level – already corrupt. Again, it’s human nature. It’s just a question of how much temptation it will take to make one fail.
There are people who speak as if they personally knew and could forever truthfully
avouch some nonsense about EVERYONE. Do you want to publicly take responsibility? Lighter may be better.
All their lives are at stake, they surmise. Nick must take on the drones, would be wise. And if that’s too complex, he and Lee will have sex. But for now Nick’s not ready to rise.
But then again, why waste a perfectly good “bargaining chip” for when they confront Mr. Green and the remnants of Anasigma that are still loyal to him?
The only part of Anasigma we know for sure is loyal to Ira is Dr. Engelbright. Others have defected (Echo Bravo, Alfa Alfa, the Kansas base), been eaten or killed (the rest of the Anasigma army in Kansas), or don’t work directly under Anasigma (Maragda Building denizens). The drones maybe haven’t been informed of any changes in orders, and it’s not certain if they have minds of their own.
It has been noted that it works when Gin is in danger, so….
So she wants to see if the drones will go out with a bang.
Grrr!
Aaaaaayyyy
We were all thinking it, you just go got there first.
Leave it to a lady who calls herself a sane scientist to come up with a very good Plan B! 🙂
I think this Plan B may need to become Plan A.

More of a Plan ‘O’, honestly.
More of a Plan “Oh MYy!”, reputably
Please consider yourself upvoted.

I was wondering if there was an override code/phrase, like “blueberry pancakes”, that would take the starch out of the drones.
I thought about that, too. But if they gang are all still mind-linked through Unity, using a code-phrase could bring disastrous results, because it would affect all of them.

They say that, but I think they’re wrong. It’s not that power necessarily corrupts–
But it’s the corruptible that are the type to seek absolute power.

*They* may say that, but John Dalberg-Acton said that power *tends to* corrupt.
Also, as Felgraf says, correlation != causation.
Everyone on earth is corruptible. In fact, since no one is perfect, everyone on earth is – on some level – already corrupt. Again, it’s human nature. It’s just a question of how much temptation it will take to make one fail.

Those who claim they are too good or too smart to be corrupted are the most vulnerable of all.
One of the drones fired a shot through the wings of one of the dragons. Never mind about Nick’s performance anxiety, somebody help that dragon!
‘Tis but a flesh wound!
I don’t see Roger or Kay being as stupid, er, as stoic as the Black Knight.
I searched “helping dragons” and one of the first suggestions is to send thoughts and prayers, so I can handle that.
YOU SEE, HE’S TALKING ABOUT HIS PENIS.
OHHHHHHH! Now I get it!
All their lives are at stake, they surmise. Nick must take on the drones, would be wise. And if that’s too complex, he and Lee will have sex. But for now Nick’s not ready to rise.
Nick need only seize control of half the Predators and redirect them into collisions with the other half.
Gotta hold some chutzpah in reserve for ECM against those Stinger missiles!
Or shoot down the other half, a la Captain America: Winter Soldier.

“Vi! You have to put a force field around the plane!”
“But Mom, I’ve never done one that big before!”
Wow! I haven’t seen that movie in ages!
“What if I can’t?”
“Then everybody dies. But no pressure or anything.”
“I can’t, I can’t, I can’t, I can’t, I can’t, I can you know, but I can’t.”
