So she can projectile vomit on will? I’m not sure if that’s supposed to be weird and funny antics or an allusion to creepy spreading the infection thing.
And for those of you who are itching to say it, I’m 95% positive that the zombies/mutants puking to infect thing is older than the latest bodysnatchers adaption.
True, but Dr. Lee drained the necrotic host body so Unity’s consciousness would transfer to each new host in turn.
In the few examples we’ve seen, Unity appears to have no control over “secondary infections”. What was that abominable conglomeration of arms and legs called?
There were still lingering effects though, which would be how the army of animals still counted as Unity by the terms of the duel. I think there’s also a bonus story that shows the aftereffects of curing the werewolf outbreak?
And I almost forgot… Unity was able to call the animals in for the final showdown, and she said that they were all part of her. So it seems she did have control, at least for a few days.
Ooh!… Let’s connect the dots (because they’re pretty disjointed otherwise)… Artie is an ordained Unitarian minister. He can be their chaplain and not even have to change religions!
The gang finds themselves in a pinch. But with Unity’s goo, it’s a clinch. Though this hive mind possessional lacks endorsement professional, it’ll still get them all into synch.
Sweetheart finally accomplishes her goal of being one with Unity.
Uh, didn’t it just eat an armload of Unity ichor?
Unity might’ve recovered it. She has two here.
Remy did bring a truckload of spare parts.

O, my sweet innocent Ginny! Do you really think the Unity Borg will permit you the option of saying no? Resistance is useless! 😀
I stand corrected. Sweetheart wasn’t thinking what I was thinking!
This is much more clever – I don’t recall Unity ever infecting multiple hosts simultaneously before!
In the story line where she became a Notary Public, Unity infected Dr. Lee and a whole bunch of animals to overcome Tigerlily.

I believe it was called Dis-Unity, but I could be remembering the wrong thing.
Re: awgiedawgie: DisUnity was the name bestowed on the alternate universe Unity. The arms-and-legs thing was called FootFace.
Thank you, Robert! Foot-Face wasn’t bad…

Pretty sure you’re right. I think it’s a bonus in one of the print/pdf books.

Oh, bugger. I didn’t see Trivena’s comment before posting mine.
The “bonus story” was just the epilogue of the werewolf story arc. http://skin-horse.com/comic/todays-comic-51/
Huh. I could’ve sworn I’d seen people talking about another mission to investigate why the townspeople were still acting like Unity.
I seem to recall someone later mentioning the residents still acting like her, but I don’t recall anything about an investigation into it.
Of course, I’m certainly not the final authority on it.
Not where I thought they were going with this.
I mean, become a collective to fight a collective? That’s just a confession of insufficient dakka.

Beware of the pointy-eared boss.
Why the hesitation, Ginny? You were already host to her once!
Yeah, but last time, she was just injected with Unity, not barfed on.
Which is why she’s going to suggest that for future, er, volunteers.
That’s a self-answering question…
The real question is why the hesitation in panel 4, but not in panel 2?
So is there a general consensus for panel four?
Will they become a kind of bee hive? If so, what would their name be? Any good ideas?
The Unitarians.
I think that explains a few things.
You win all the Internets for this!

“Prepare to see a Notary Public’s brain in action!”
