Or “Ballroom Blitz”. Meh, Or/And, why not both? More cacophony I say!
No “The Sound of Silence” for this ship, but the “Bridge Over Troubled Water” continues for all.
Baron Mistycorn, at least, is always recording. And I would think many of the other robots are as well. Maybe they can get all their recordings together for a well- (or badly-) edited movie.
Looks like a confusing melee. Funny because I’m a-spectatin’. I’ve seen bees do their ‘thing’ close-up, and on somebody ELSE, thank you. I won’t forget his reactions. Poor Sweetheart. Please don’t break the Saucer’s ‘fourth wall’, either.
“My father was a beekeeper before me… his father was a beekeeper before him… and I want to walk in their footsteps! And their footsteps were like this:
AAAAA! AAAAA!
I’m covered in bees!
AAAAA!
Covered in bees!”
Baron Mistycorn may have a tiny hole that is the opening to a small switch that resets him or shuts him down, usually meant to be pressed by a paperclip or similar, but which may also be just the right size for bee mandibles
He’s a rogue, not a fighter. So it’s possible he’s playing dead with a Sneak Attack in mind. And if confronted by a swarm of angry bees I might have done a bit of cowering in fear as well. 🙂
While you wish upon a star,
It’s no different where they are.
Any fight their heart desires
Will happen, too.
Skin-Horse crew, Pavane’s strange scheme.
Wild brawling’s not extreme.
When you wish upon a star
These schemers do.
Fighting time,
It comes to push and shove.
The neat fulfillment of
A secret wronging.
Like a dolt without a clue,
Stinging bees must be fought through.
So while you wish upon a star
Those schemes are through.
—from “When You Wish Upon a Star,” written by Leigh Harline (music) and Ned Washington (words), sung by Jiminy Cricket, er, Cliff Edwards. (This is the second time I’ve used it but it fit today.)
Well, I was wondering how Ruby got there—last I saw she was still at St. Charlie—and I didn’t see her in the crowds that were boarding. Not that she’s not eligible by Pavane’s conditions…I wonder if her husband the shapeshifter went with he.
Oh, It’s “Who Mourns for Adonais?” It’s a line from Shelly’s poem “Adonais,” something called a “pastoral elegy” on the death of Lord Byron. Too lengthy and tedious to quote here—it’s Stanza 47, Line 415.
I love how *everyone* is rebelling.
Even the head-toters!
Looks like Langi is passing Una to Lim-Lim—Lim-Lim is open.
In the background you can hear “Kung-Fu Fighting”.
Or “Ballroom Blitz”. Meh, Or/And, why not both? More cacophony I say!
No “The Sound of Silence” for this ship, but the “Bridge Over Troubled Water” continues for all.
Or the theme to “Peacemaker or actually anything from the “Peacemaker” soundtrack. 😀
So does that mean the character on the right edge of the panel is a kung fu panda?
I hope some one on that ship is recording this!
Baron Mistycorn, at least, is always recording. And I would think many of the other robots are as well. Maybe they can get all their recordings together for a well- (or badly-) edited movie.
Oh gosh he probably IS a Twitch streamer, isn’t he.
His followers count is going to go through the roof.

Might be better to leave the apiary and go into falconry.
At least the you cou…, AARGH, AARGH, NOT THE EYES, AARGH
“On top of spaghetti
All covered in bees
I lost my poor eyeball…”
I like my dogs like I like my coffee.
COVERED IN BEES!
absolute cluster-goink of a battle going on, this pleases me. 🙂
Hearty applause for ‘cluster-goink’ – bravo!
Tip must really be depressed,
He’s still in his prison garb.
What is his wish?
Yeah, Tip’s in his “lost mojo” mode.
I suspect his wish is coming true as he speaks, even if he doesn’t know it yet. 🙂
I wonder if he is accidentally wishing on the saucer?
And the annex one lot would make a wonderful landing spot.
Agreed, Duane.
And I love Tip’s body language between panels 1 and 3!
Something beside Artie’s sneakers that Mell brought, which he’s wearing here?
Baron Mistycorn seems to have been knocked out of commission somehow. I wouldn’t think he would be vulnerable to bee stings, though.
Also, if I were there, I would be acting exactly like Sweetheart.
I would think him vulnerable to pretending to be knocked out so he doesn’t actually have to fight though.
The Baron might have been trampled by someone else acting like Sweetheart.
Baron Mistycorn may have a tiny hole that is the opening to a small switch that resets him or shuts him down, usually meant to be pressed by a paperclip or similar, but which may also be just the right size for bee mandibles
Baron appears to be cowering in fear. He’s not nearly as brave and chivalrous in real life as he is in VR.
He’s a rogue, not a fighter. So it’s possible he’s playing dead with a Sneak Attack in mind. And if confronted by a swarm of angry bees I might have done a bit of cowering in fear as well. 🙂
Good to see the panda is getting his rampage on again.
Is this the real life, or just Tip’s fantasy?
Thunderbolts and lightning, very, very frightening
They should paint little red crosses on the back of the cobras who are standing by to dispense life saving venom to anyone allergic to bee stings.
Nah, they don’t need paint. The cobras can just wear little arm-bands.
Wouldn’t they need a collar… cravat… belt…
(Just like with Humpty Dumpty, it’s hard to tell WHAT it is.)
because they don’t HAVE any arms.
They don’t have feet, either, but Alfie used to wear a tube sock. I didn’t say they’d wear the arm bands as arm bands.
This. Is. Eternal. Art.

Most excellent, Robert!
Now I want a T-shirt emblazoned with “A Secret Wronging” just because it begs so many questions… 😉
I’m in love with all of this. The comic, the comments, just all of its gloriousnessness!
“Would it have hurt us, I wonder, to gather just a *few* laurel leaves?” – Kirk, STTOS Who Mourns For Adonis?”
(one of the few episodes I believe Picard would have handled better than Kirk)
Irrelevant, but I foresee Pavane sputtering “YOU! ALL of you! You BELONG on that doomed ball of dirt, not Lovetron! Get off my ship!” 😉
And I just love Unity riding into battle atop Hitty! A frightening image for any opponent! (and even allies)
Well, I was wondering how Ruby got there—last I saw she was still at St. Charlie—and I didn’t see her in the crowds that were boarding. Not that she’s not eligible by Pavane’s conditions…I wonder if her husband the shapeshifter went with he.

The difference between serenity and chaos can just be a matter of distance.
Very Zen. And very true!
Panel 2 is another one of those “Who would win in a fight between A and B? The cartoonist!”-type drawings, isn’t it.
Well. The cartoonist and the readers.
Tip Wilkin, a wish, he has made. On a star—natural or man-made? Not wanting to travel the gang starts a battle. A smashing wish granting parade.
