People have asked this very thing before, and the answer is: maybe.
We’ve seen that Virginia has access to the plans for a weather control machine, since she gave a copy to Ira for Christmas, and told him that Tigerlily could build it for him.
It’s possible that she got the plans from A-Sig, but earlier in the same chapter people marvel at the thought that she might be giving away A-Sig tech, and she assures them no, these are her own private side projects.
To be fair, she’s not talking about the weather machine specifically, so it’s possible she did get THAT particular plan from A-Sig. That said, she does mention “a tornado machine” among her own side projects, so maybe they’re one and the same?
So it’s one of two things – either Virginia has access to this weater control machine plan because she got it from A-Sig, or A-Sig has access to it because they stole it from Virginia without her knowing.
Could they have stolen / bought a plan from Dave prior to this? Sure, although that’s pure conjecture. He seems pretty unlikely to sell his designs without also being the one to build them, so theft seems a bit more likely. But then again, Dave is also very, very secure with his systems – I’m not sure even A-Sig could get into his computer banks.
U.N.I.T.Y. apparently got her legs back from the cats. Either that, or she had packed spares in Nick’s cargo hold (much to his utter delight, I’m sure).
Habbakuk/Habakkuk/pykrete sure is a rabbit hole, and provides all kinds of promising story arcs.
“Perutz proceeded to conduct experiments on the viability of pykrete and its optimum composition in a secret location underneath Smithfield Meat Market in the City of London.[8][9] The research took place in a refrigerated meat locker behind a protective screen of frozen animal carcasses.”
It’s never paranoia if they really *are* out to get you! ^_~
Being paranoid doesn’t mean that they aren’t out to get you.
But paranoia doesn’t mean that you think they are out to get you. (They are.)
Paranoia is when you think they are conspiring.
You are paranoid if you can’t think of a single thing that is your fault.
Just because you’re paranoid, doesn’t mean they aren’t out to get you.
Thank you!
It’s only paranoia until you have proof.
And, my personal favorite: “If you’re not paranoid by now, it means you haven’t been paying attention all this time.”
Though you can still come across as paranoid – just look at Conspiracy Brother in “Undercover Brother” for a good example of that.
Ok, did Anasigma steal one of Dave’s weather machines? Or hire him to build one?

Ginny also made one; she gave it to Ira for secret Santa.
There we go: Proof positive.
She gave Ira the plans, and told him that he could have Tigerlily build it for him.
Panel 4 completely cracked me up.
Prosopagnosiacs of the world, unite!… as soon as we figure out how to find each other.
You just need to agree on a silly enough hat.
Hats are problematic because of the bird problem. Besides, if everyone wore the same hat, we still couldn’t tell each other apart.
Hey, it worked for Superman, though he also wore those highly disguising glasses.
That’s why he was never invited on their adventures.
Global warming is caused by Anasigma: confirmed!
Regardless of Shelby’s involvement, Unity makes a very good point.

Well, they did rescue all the cats, so I imagine she got hers back. The cats probably play “keepaway” with the zombies on the island all the time.

I kind of think she’s messing with him here.
