So he didn’t need The Mike in the first place? Are Cammy & co. playing some sort of scam for nefarious purposes? (Or nefarious porpoises, always a possibility in this world).
“Uppercase” means that the bit in the 32s place (the third-most significant bit) is on. This is the case in some but not all wi-fi packets. Having that bit on all the time, i.e. all caps, would lead to packet errors and is not recommended.
An interesting assertion, to be sure, but it makes no sense. Where is your support for it? I cannot find “uppercase” mentioned anywhere in the IEEE 802 standard.
For purposes of the joke—as well as the sanity of whoever’s using the 802.11 sniffer—we’re assuming that the packets are being inspected in hexadecimal, yes. And that the hexadecimal is in uppercase for legibility, as many tools display it.
AH! The cybernetic implants work with wifi!
I’m suddenly very jealous for some reason…
As if the human brain didn’t have enough remote exploits already.
telepathy was great, too,

and we had to sink them.

I wonder if she can tell that Nick is less metallic than when he was last there. Can organic-ness come through computer signals?
Since he now has hormones and such affecting his brain, it makes sense for her to notice a difference.
Well, he used to be circumcised…

WiFi is *always* in all-caps if you inspect the packets!
0xFF 0x34 0x3A 0x82 0xAD …
😉
Only if you read the data as hexadecimal. Ultimately, it’s just 1s and 0s, so there is no upper or lower case.

Oh, as if anybody cares about sanity around here.
