I first discovered Skin Horse because I was reading an alphabetically adjacent comic on GoComics, and I was intrigued by the Skin Horse icon, which is Ginny’s face.
Let’s give him credit for one thing though, he’s still a lot more honest and truthful then Janie since he’s not bothering to hold to a lie even when doing so might allow him to carry off the deception. For some reason he’s coming through to me as being a lot like Nick in some regards. @_@
Heh. If I had to do that I would probably start by reminding him that the Master and the Doctor were both cut from the very same cloth. As were Seaton and Duquesne. He’s fellow nerd enough that with a lead-in like that he might take the point instead of offense. ^_^
I don’t think Ginny loves Nick for his body… Dr Ao is probably as good an external package as can be for her, but the problem is that she doesn’t care about the wrapping paper, she cares about the unwrapped brain. In ways that frankly should worry anyone strongly attached to their brain’s current residence.
Clearly she’s going to turn the walnuts into a zero-point energy source that will either allow her to escape (if real) or cause an overflow error crashing the simulation (if not).
I wonder, the walnut trees were all the same, maybe to save processing power (if this is actually a simulation). This could have given Dr. Lee some idea.
Could breeding the earwigs (ideally exponentially as there is probably no predator for them), possibly making each of them slightly different, cause the simulation to crash due to running out of memory like Nick did with multiplying the birds (if I remember correctly) in the original tests?
Then she would need to stay in this virtual environment to make it work. What a way to introduce bugs into the system 😉
Wholly Carp, she’s gonna stick a Cat-5 cable up her nose now, isn’t she? Well, no, probably not that as such, but I’d say that she’s found her Madness Place (she didn’t have to be driven very far, now, did she?) and is about to have Baby’s First Rampage.
The way Virginia looks in panel 2 catches her essential nature. I like it a lot.
There’s also this one in panel 3.

Dr. Lee, beautiful genre savvy bitch
Yeah, hanging around Nick has had a surprisingly good effect on her.
So it seems he doesn’t know her nearly as well as he thought he did. And he completely underestimated her intelligence. Not wise, old boy.

Say that to Nick’s face, er, cockpit. I dare you.

I used to think that the Master is a future version of the Doctor.
Okay, that, you might get away with. 🙂
The question is, does he realize just how much trouble he’s in?
You go Dr. Lee! So that sleet!
From “uniquely valuable” to “uniquely dangerous” overnight!
Those two states are not usually that different.
Kind of wondering if Ira, Green, whatever, set this up just so he could use the Hot Young Doctor body to try and pick up Virginia one last time.
Unless Dr Ao can turn into a helicopter, that plan is unlikely to succeed.

No, she doesn’t love Nick for his body. But she does love Nick, and he is a helicopter, so the point is still valid.
“This was a lot easier with the dog.”
I’m having a little trouble coming to terms with the fact I now need to wait two days to find out what ‘sleet’ Ginny has planned.
Because, as we all know, that’s gonna be some good sleet.
Clearly she’s going to turn the walnuts into a zero-point energy source that will either allow her to escape (if real) or cause an overflow error crashing the simulation (if not).
Hey! Give her some time to get her “sleet” together.
Two days isn’t that long…
Infinite recursion and a walnut virus thrown in!? Wtg Ginny!
Ginny <3 Nick 4 EVA.

Yes, old fashioned bugs in the system;. Jeff and Sheanon would use such a literal device.
“A useful person to have around as long as you don’t let her think too hard about what she’s doing.”
I think Mr. Green should have listened more to his own dossier.
Borrowing a phrase from Nick?
I found that little detail ridiculously touching.
What you said.
Wouldn’t her knight in shining armor come to rescue her… riding in on a Skin Horse?
Jeez, that reminds me, I really hope Nick is okay…
Nobody could disassemble him like Dr. Lee could disassemble him.
Exactly what I’m afraid of. They might be about to butcher him!

I try to avoid doing the whole ‘X character is hot’ thing, but she looks really good in a ponytail.
