Dude, I’m 60. Look up her music—her voice is awesome. Think of Nina Simone, only soprano. Or Diamanda Galas, only less weird. Or PJ Harvey, only slightly less nihilistic.
I’m not sure how to feel about this. It does mean that Our Heroes are still a viable threat to whatever A-Sig’s up to; however it also means that they are firmly under the bad guy’s thumb and eye (somehow simultaneously, that’s mad science for you). If they can convince Sweetheart to leave her bureaucratic paradise, they might have more of a chance.
I only recently learned that the Pale Man is actually almost identical to a Japanese monster. The only difference is that instead of eating children and leaving shoes, it eats peoples bones and leaves the rest of them.
Yeah, yeah, I know it’s over a year later now, but I’m going back and re-reading stuff (as I often do), and it occurs to me that “with eyes for fingers from Batman” kinda describes Unity. Either as snacks or replacement parts, depending on the condition of her current fingers.
I suspect her punishment is to continue working with Skin Horse. This was a demotion last year (http://skin-horse.com/comic/anyway/), but maybe she’s getting used to them.
I’ve only just noticed that Shelby was talking about moving the snakes shortly before Moustachio broke down (http://skin-horse.com/comic/todays-comic-94/). If this was all part of a nefarious plot, it’s one he’s been involved with for a really long time.
How much does it matter whether or not you accept extirpation? Pleading guilty in order to get lenient treatment only works if you’re likely actually to get lenient treatment.
Panel two is creeping me out.
Time to tip over a coffee cup. Or two.
Apropos of nothing but squee, Sia is going to be a pony in the upcoming My Little Pony movie! I’m not sure how to post the picture here, but you can see the story at http://www.latimes.com/entertainment/la-et-hc-comic-con-updates-orphan-black-goes-west-side-story-1469241319-htmlstory.html.
Regrets, but I’ve never heard of her. As you can probably tell from the song parodies I do, I’m a card-carrying member of a previous generation.

Really? You seem much younger.
And now I love you.
Well, it WAS a covert status report.
Ah, Sweetheart… How I’ve missed you.
(Rather later)
“There’s a problem with the organizational chart – it doesn’t include ‘Shadowy Overboss’.”
You have to apply lemon juice first.
I find that holding it under the light of a full moon also works, but then you need a decoder ring and a Captain Crunch bosun whistle.
…and here I thought this was a Cracker Jack outfit.
No, no, they wrote it in mulberry juice. You need some silkworms to reveal the hidden parts.
I’ve said it before, but this is what happens when you dictate your memos to a steganographer.
She’s working in the Skin Horse office. You can’t punish her any worse than that.

So, they’re doomed.
Now i have an image of that guy with eyes for fingers from batman in my mind.
I’m thinking of the Pale Man from “Pan’s Labyrinth.”
I only recently learned that the Pale Man is actually almost identical to a Japanese monster. The only difference is that instead of eating children and leaving shoes, it eats peoples bones and leaves the rest of them.
Japanese myths: always 20% weirder
“Fingers From Batman In My Mind” sounds like one weird song title…

Is she saying extirpation isn’t all that bad? What can you do with walnuts that… never mind, don’t want to know…
No, she’s responding to being given a lesser punishment. Presumably her actions weren’t severe enough to warrant extripation.

Like many threats, Extirpation loses its power over you once you accept it.
