I’m going to start referring to things I don’t expect to come up again as one-off gags.
“The oven’s broken again? I thought that was just a one-off gag. … and not a very funny one. … fixing this is going to be expensive isn’t it”
I do remember her foot monster, but I don’t remember where, come to think of it, whenever there’s a callback I never remember where it’s from. Also I thought she was okay with stealing parts from living people.
Apparently Unity considers the limb thing to be male. Interesting to note, given that she identifies as female no matter what body she’s in and he’s a product of her.
That’s the strip I was thinking of. I got the impression from that one that she still identified as female even though she was in a male body for conveniece’s sake. She and Sergio were talking about morphology there, not gender identity.
How do you know what Unity meant? I’m not trying to start a war, but since it was a one-time statement, and she didn’t elaborate, you can’t put words in her mouth.
It’s not the only time she’s been shown in a male body during the run of the comic. When she took Antoine’s (I think that was his name) body she still identified as female, for example.
Now that they’ve identified the issue, can they disassemble Foot-face to give the zombies their parts back? Obviously there will be a struggle, but I’m sure U.N.I.T.Y. Is up to wrestling herself into submission.
It’s okay, Unity. No one can expect you to predict consequences to your actions.
Anyone else, maybe, but this is Skin Horse.By now we know stuff just *happens*.
And there goes Unity smashing the fourth wall in panel 1.
Glad to know I’m not the only one that heard a road rock bounce off my flatscreen / internet windshield.
Helen and Dave, et al (mostly Helen, IIRC) did it all the time. Frankly, I’m surprised there’s not more of it going on in Skin Horse.

As long as you load a soundboard on your phone and play an obviously canned laughtrack…
Maybe the continual supply of new parts is what kept Foot-Face going past its expiration date.
Perhaps some of the body parts Unity barfed on were from the Cypress contingent? After all, Bitey never ran down.
Could be.

It was from this arc, iirc. Remy brought a pile of limbs when (or soon after) we first saw him.

Panel 2: “It’s” should be “Its”.
I came to see whether anyone said this.
You’d think Sweetheart would be better about that after losing so much sleep over it http://skin-horse.com/comic/the-new-2/
Foot-Face. Well, it’s not as sophisticated a name as “the Abomination,” but for a home-and-hearth name, it’s fine.
Sounds like a character out of “Dick Tracy
Well it was sweetheart’s name for it
Technically, Sweetheart called it “a foot-faced thing”. Unity was the one who called it “Foot-face”.

ISTR she also considered the autonomous hand to be male. Or at least named it Brian.
She doesn’t always identify as female.

Footface is a philanthropist and wants to restart Hands Across America — singlehandedly, in one sense.
