Exactly. If she truly believes the Skin Horse crew to be an inspection team from A-sig, why in the world would she ever admit to less-than-perfect loyalty? She doesn’t want to end up like the extremely well-done supervisor of the other base.
Yes, the problem is the Skin Horse team would have to blow their cover in order to recruit these guys. That’s a huge risk – they might decide that capturing the intruders is the best way to avoid retribution from A-sig. While Unity could probably defeat whatever the base security could throw at them, the goal of no one getting hurt would not be achieved, and their original goal of secretly obtaining information would be compromised as well.
Well, that’s why you first draw your weapon and _then_ blow your cover and try to recruit. Unfortunately, of course, now you have the same problem in reverse – do you actually believe them if they immediately decide to side with you when asked at gunpoint…?
Thank you, Shen, for your attention to essentials. I, too, find it disappointing when a recently-involved woman gives not a fig for the very recent past?
Yeah, when trying to sway someone to your side, it generally helps if they w what side they will be joining
Asking a general “Will you betray your bosses?” question usually doesn’t work, specially when they know their loyalty is being tested
Yeah; locating, sneaking in, isolating, interrogating SUCCESSFULLY….all specialties of the true craft. Not quite up Tip’s Alley. Nor hers, evidently. Brainwashed ‘blindness’ folks are all biz. Etc.
Well, you could ask /why/ she’s loyal, of course that would raise suspicions, plus she was probably just saying that to not get iced.

The spy game is tough.

That’s a problem to sort out in your bunker when your guys have all the weapons.
Well I certainly get the feeling *someone’s* cover was getting blown, if you know what I mean!
Hail Hydra, baby!
Oh, I never get tired of hearing that nothing can shake somebody’s loyalty.
Yes, Tip… We all already knew you had a one-track mind.
Should’a sent Moustachio. He has an eight-track mind.

Now, I was expecting him to at least *try* the therapy puppets…
… I hope he remembered to turn the mic off during that…

Male humanoids have felt THAT. La donna e mobile.
Maybe Mr. The Zombie Head should have gone. He doesn’t have a body for anybody to want.
Yes, but he has more brains than most, which is why he boogied out of there when Sweeheart took him off her head.
Actually, he didn’t boogie anywhere. You can see him in the background behind Sweetheart in Wednesday’s strip.
Could be worse. They could’ve brought Monstro.

Apropos of nothing, I just read Shaenon and Andrew’s Popeye comic, and they managed to make me sing aloud before I realized what was happening.
If she’s loyal, then she just admitted she’s a bad guy. Problem solved.
