That prompts the question of what effect Nicks rotorosity has on her feelings for him; does she like him despite his body, or is she secretly rotorphillic and only realised once she’d met him?
I don’t think his body is a factor for her. She fell for him when he decided he would rather die than be forced to be something he’s not – specifically, a killing machine.
So the fact that Sergio is not a helicopter is irrelevant. The point is that he’s not Nick.
I’m still trying to figure out why Shaenon drew Nick as a mid wing today. She normally draws Nick as a standard V-22 Osprey which has the wing mounted on top of the cabin. This is done to give some clearance for the rotors when they are tilted forward for taxiing and because it allows the V-22’s wing to be swiveled 90 degrees for better shipboard storage (its a Marine aircraft). I find the new configuration disturbing as Nick has always been drawn with a high wing. Is this some alternate universe thing or did Shaenon try to draw before she had her morning coffee?
“Large beet salad”?
I think “Monkey Puzzles” is now the official name of anyone I don’t know.
My son would love some Monkey Puzzles, but it would have to be one of those toddler puzzles with the big wooden pieces… He’s two
Nick’s rotors should be up in helictopter mode at this point.
He’s not in helicopter mode though
He should be in helicopter mode. Is he making a flyover pass instead of just landing, just to waste fuel and time?
Loitering as a glider is far more fuel-efficient than loitering as a helicopter.
That said, he appears awfully close to the building to be safely loitering.
It’s probably one of those schmancy bifocal panels, with the top half telephoto and the bottom half 35mm.
I think he’s good enough he can rotate the propellers as he lands. Crazy hard you say? Why else would you use a brain as a pilot I say!
Not even large fruit salad? Rude, Nick.
I thought “Sergio and Dr. Lee” wouldn’t work out for almost the same reason “Sweetheart and Anything Male” wouldn’t work out.
Nah, I seem to recall he’s bi.
Yeah, but he’s not a helicopter

I could use some good ol’ “alternate universes” today 3:)

Good grief, it probably just looked cooler in the panel.
He really does look odd, doesn’t he?
