Dumpshock only occurs when you’re unsafely disconnected from full VR, and they appear to be operating in simple AR, which is standard for drone operators who aren’t dedicated full-time Riggers, such as these two drekheads.
3rd panel has a legitimate point but based on D&D I’d say it depends on how good their necromancer is. If you let your melee guys get on close, fail to target their necromancer and don’t pelt the from afar with missile weapons and spell casters then you’re doing it wrong. ^_~
Depends on the freshness of the zombie – a freshly dead human, being mostly water, really isn’t flammable. (At least in what we laughingly call “reality.” D&D corpses may have different physics.)
People are -reasonably- flammable even when they’re alive.
Also, even with a super fresh corpse, you don’t need to literally set it aflame – even a relatively light “cooking” causes flesh to start breaking down and falling apart, which will ruin a zombie’s day and beyond.
So it looks like the zombies turning others through infection is a thing in this universe, which contradicts them being made individually by mad scientists. But wouldn’t they still be loyal to anasigma? And what does respect have to do with anything?
Zombies turning others into zombies by infection does not rule out zombies having been created by a Mad scientist. There’s nothing that says they can only be produced by one method.
And once again I find myself rooting for the bad guys. Partly because I never liked Artie, and partly because I admire EB’s loyalty and work ethic and AA is so cute.
I don’t give much chance of their making it with any of the rats or each other, at this rate.
Based on the last panel of yesterday’s cartoon I would day their odds are pretty good. Whether they avoid marriage to her is a different story. ^_^
Good call yesterday, Robert!
…is the plural doofuses or doofi?
♪ Doofenshmirtz Evil Incorporated! ♪
True scholars know that it’s actually “Doofodes”
Isn’t “Doofi!” the latest installment in Gordon R. Dickson’s Childe Cycle? 😉
So, she’s in a hospital bed because she was messed up by Artie’s exploding house?
That was mentioned in a strip a few weeks ago. Granted, Echo Bravo didn’t explicitly say it was from the explosion, but it was kind of obvious.
I’m waiting for the inevitable brain-crash.
The drone’s or theirs? o_O

Brain-crash also requires a working brain, and I don’t really see a working one between the two of them.

The trouble with necromancy is that corpses are flammable, and Fireball is a 3rd level spell that hits like a 7th level one.

Just how many people _have_ you cooked?
This has the feel of a Monster of the Week strip — no complaints here. Maybe these characters are really Foxtrot Mike and Delta Sierra?
I want to know how A.A. and E.B. tracked Artie, Cinnamon and Sergio down into the steam tunnels?
Could the cat carrier have been coated with radioactive tracer?
Did the Rats of NIEM file routine arrival reports?
Perhaps someone ratted them out.
BOO
Could be, but I think they were tailed …
Doofi if it has a Latin root, doofes if Greek. Arbitrarily I would prefer dooves.
Dooves FTW!
Seconded!
If Germanic, “dovren”.

Even if not overwhelmed by a desire for brains, the brighter ones probably realize they can no longer count on A-Sig being loyal to _them_.

If you were Echo Bravo, would you have any self-respect?
Well, he aced the surprise footwear inspection (2012-06-22).
Oh wow, I just realized that this brain tech is basically the same as the stuff they used with Nick.
Poor Virginia – is there no end to the reverse engineered mad tech they will use for war in Anisigma?
…probably not, but at least we found out that Alfa Alfa and Echo Bravo are drift compatible.
