Unkind, perhaps. But not untrue. Right from the start, Tip demonstrated that his first love is himself. Yes, he’s done a few heroic acts over the years, but mostly what we’ve seen him do – and notice I said “mostly”, just like Sweetheart did – is threaten people with makeovers.
The humans of Earth just don’t care. Can Tip leave the Earth if he dared? Though it’s by invitation, Tip’s recommendation is to tend to split-ends in the hair.
I suppose it could be argued that the nonhuman sapients of this world do need an image consultant to address their public perception (or lack thereof, at the moment). It works with politicians (not the most ringing endorsement, I know, but it shows what I mean.)
I’ll be disappointed if the solution is just for all the nonhumans to leave, because that means A-Sig wins, and can even basically do whatever they want without anyone stopping them. And it’s not like most humans “don’t know or care” of their own free will.
Actually, now that I think of it, what if this whole thing was orchestrated by Pavane to give extra incentive for nonhumans to come her and join her?
At least Tip cares about something – and about someone other than himself. That puts him one-up on a lot of humans.
And a step up from old Tip too – he’s definitely grown!
If most humans don’t know or care then perhaps the world is fine and the problem is with Tip. 🙂
If you’re not part of the solution then perhaps you’re part of the problem.
If you’re not part of the solution, you’re part of the precipitate.
*ba-dum cha*
Apathy makes right?
Tip is all about hair care.
That was unkind, Sweetheart. Also, untrue.

It’s possible that Tip’s residual lycanthropy is enough to qualify him for Pavane’s offer.
I’m starting to doubt whether he has any
Seph: Pavane has invited Sweetheart individually. Tip mustn’t have had that.
If he went, what would happen with his relationship with Tigerlily Jones?
She’s going too I think. At least, she’s from there.

Y’all puttin it on Tip, but it’s Sweetheart that has boiled down all of Tip’s contributions to merely ‘haircare”.
Well, werewolves are hairy…. 😉
Sweetheart did say “mostly.” I remember Nick-in-the-drone giving it to Tip pretty good when he came at him with mascara.

Or as the hippie chemists phrase it:
If you are not part of the solution
You are part of the precipitate

It also leaves the next generation of nonhuman sapients unsupported.
(Because it’s not like Pavane is going to take away all the radioactive waste, or all the Mads. Or put the Cure in the water supply… I hope.)
Where is the Tip jar?????
