There are several colours – cherry red, candy apple red, fire engine red, etc. – that are not Star Trek red, but are still actually red. I would say that carnation pink is not anywhere near close enough to call it red. I think Tip is safe… at least from that curse.
@BMunro, The fact that these descriptions are 100% canon accurate while clearly so *delightfully* ridiculous is a fractal concept-shape one of whose metacalculated and extended metaphors illustrates how much I enjoy reading this comic <3
Wait, Nick’s against calling him by what everyone else does? And why does Tip have a problem with calling him Mr. Zerhakker?
His *friends* call him Tip.
Using ‘Mister’ is a mark of *respect*.
This.
All the good vibes from the freudian slips
“It’s friendship, friendship, just a perfect blendship…”
They haven’t really addressed each other by name this whole time
Nick usually calls Tip “Wilkin”.
Or various wrongswears.
Character development strikes unexpectedly!
And in the most unexpected places!
Astonishingly so.
[Just off-panel]
GINNY: …now kiss.
If only she could get Artie involved as well.
Interesting handshake.
Good catch. There is the possibility of undermining this blossoming respect for one another with a surprise thumb wrestling match.
Or cementing it.
Fabulous! This proves that webcomics are the most expressive medium for telling a story when done well.
Suddenly, I’m scared for them…..
Oh no. Is this what the kids call a “death flag”?
Well, at least neither of them are a few days from retirement.
Is Tip’s shirt close enough to red? Or does it have to be actual Star Trek Red?

And then…
“One, two, three, four, I declare a thumby war!!!”
Tip’s flight is all go for the trip. He hopes for the best, but he’s hip. A sudden shell-cracker, as “Mr. Zerhakker” says Wilkin, and Nick uses “Tip.”
Nice.
That’s “future Mr. Lee” to you, Tip.
Now we have a title for the spin-off strip: “Zerhakker and Tip, Private Investigations”.
One’s a transvestite ex-special forces psychologist Don Juan.
The other’s a foul-mouthed Jewish gamer dual-bodied cyborg assault helicopter.
Together, they fight crime.
Oh, goodness, this idea sounds like entirely too much fun!
